Ed Rendell, the Democratic governor of Pennsylvania and former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, told Fox News on Saturday that the Tea Party movement reflects the anger many Americans feel about the current state of the economy, but dismissed the notion of the Tea Party as a legitimate political movement.

See, somebody in Pittsburgh likes Ed Rendell! Former Pittsburgh TV news reporter Leslie McCombs lobbied the state government to pass a $75 million film-industry tax credit that would benefit her client, Lionsgate.
But Leslie didn’t register as a lobbyist. And state senator Jeff Piccola said that’s a big no-no. Rather than refer the matter to the state lobbying commission, Piccola said he was going to hire a private investigator to look into the matter. And by matter he meant steamy affair between McCombs and Rendell.
McCombs did little to dispell the romance by attacking Piccola in yesterday’s Philadelphia Daily News.
“Clearly, it is being suggested that I have an inappropriate relationship with the Governor. That suggestion is disgusting and insulting, and I am appalled that an elected public official can get away with such slanderous behavior,” McCombs wrote in the e-mail. “It is deeply hurtful to me and my family.”
Fair enough, pretty eyes. You can deny the allegation, but Harrisburg scuttlebutt says your a frequent dinner guest of the Guv. And here’s a photo of the lovely couple sitting next to each other at a recent Pirates game (Rendell says there were five other people at the game, including McComb’s son).
Piccola claims his private-dick isn’t digging up dirt, just doing an honest day’s work. John Baer, the astute political observer at the People’s Paper says ‘hogwash.’ But Baer, like the Dee-N editors, can barely contain his glee at this emerging between-the-sheets peccadillo.
There were 40,000 plus across from the Washington Monument on the evening of the 15th, I was there.
What Ed's democratic mind can't get it's arms around was there were 800 other rallies that day and more before and after from coast to coast.
I really get tired of the “Uncle Ed” nice guy routine.
“has no ability to bring a lot of people to key sites at key moments in time”
Unfortunately for you dims, they only have to go to the ballot box.
Okay, thanks Ed. I guess that about wraps it up.
Fast (and Fat) Eddie, Millions upon Millions reject out of control government spending. You prove the fact that denial is not just a river in Egypt.
The blessings of Katy Couric and Brian Willilams, in the eyes of the DC Beltway cocoon.
See you in November pumpkin-pie-faced, bad-comb-over, sleazy-politician, POS-domestic enemy.
Interesting comment.
Liberals feel they can say anything they want, create any alternative reality, because the mainstream media will back them up and present evidence that up is down. The tea parties were at first completely ignored by the MSM, but were forced to report on them by the internet, talk radio, and Fox, not to mention the sheer magnitude of the phenomenon. Liberals feel betrayed by the MSM because it in the end had to tell the truth about certain aspects of the tea party movement.
Tea partiers don't care whether they're "legit" or not. It's come down to this pitiful state for the left, a condition of having no better ammunition to fire at us than to "whip" us by calling us illegitimate, when we don't need legitimacy to vote liberals out of office.
They’re afraid and this is their way of showing it. Fast Eddie can talk all he wants. We’ll do our talking in the voting booths this November.
So another DemacRAT lays down the Fatwahhh on the Tea Party supporters, lets see how well that works out /sarcasm.
The Tea Party movement has a certification of birth record known as The Constitution. Get over it.
Where do we go to reject Dumbocrat Rendell as a legitimate politician?
For the life of me I can’t understand why Fox constantly has this bag of excrement and propagandist for the Democrat party on constantly.
When he comes on you can see he is clearly a hand puppet operated by the progressives.
Why don’t’ they simply record his last visit and then play it back every time we need a Democrat response to anything. It will always be the same.
Another bad comb over . . . .
Rendell is an idiot.
He must have meant “legitimate party”. Anyone with a High School education can see its a “movement”. But then again many Dimwits have never grown up past high school so have an obstacle before them called reality.
Rendell needs an EEG.
We had a quasi Tea Party/Concerned citizen rally in my sleepy little town on main st. last week. There was about 3-500 people there which was astounding. I have NEVER seen a crowd like that in my town protesting in my 47 times around the sun.
So these dipwads can whistle past the graveyard all they want.
