Much like today. Only back then they didn’t have the examples of Chamberlain and Hitler. We do and still repeat the mistakes made then.
-Disarmament while letting a mortal enemy grow stronger and bolder. Nobody believed Hitler was sincere in his intentions for war and extermination and today people ignore the same statements coming from muslims (once again).
And while Hitler’s ideology was new and unknown, islam’s hostility towards everyone else has been a constant throughout its history. Only when the west was too strong to be contended with did the muslims turn their anger inwards instead while biding their time. Today the west is weakening in strength and will, so now the time is upon us.
