I have no problem with women in politics.

Have great respect for Golda Meir, Margaret Thatcher and others of that stature. One of my favorite columnists is George Anne Geyer, respect her a great deal.

Currently Sarah Palin, Anne Coulter and Michelle Maklin come to mind as forceful intelligent women involved in politics.

Same here. I agree with you wholeheartedly. Several have show more ability and acumen that there male counterparts.

let’s not forget the ones we disagree with though: Fienstein, Boxer, Cynthia McKinney. And of course my own Kay Bailey Hutchinson.

No, I too like the Golda Meir’s. Margaret Thather’s, Sarah Palin’s, Micchelle Bachmann’s.

I’ll see your columnists and raise you Star Parker and Nancy Salvato. Two exceptional female columnists I think.

We’re on the same page.

I have noticed that the women who are effective political leaders are seldom that comfortable in typical housewife’s circles. Cannot tell you why, but have seen many in business and politics who seemed more comfortable around men, they had a lack of interest in what some would call normal female interests.

It is also evident in engineering and hard sciences. Fewer females in those fields. Our talents are different regardless of what is said by the lefties.

“Would be nice to have a surge of the conservative female politician. Kudos to Brewer, Palin, and others.”

I agree.

Think how different America’s position would be if President Reagan had been succeeded by President J Kirkpatrick, instead of President G H W Bush.

It makes me sick to think about it.

Democratic party elected officialsn have proven themselves no better than their male counterparts. They feel they have to prove themselves, and people vote for them just because they’re women. They’ve done worse.

LOL! My hubby commented yesterday that the “ballsiest” people nowadays are Republican women! I told him, “And now you can add Jan to the list.” True leadership is emerging......

And it’s pretty pathetic, btw, that the only people in the Republican party with enough STONES to challenge this Marxist bastard, pain in the ass, are: GIRLS !

That's how I see it- and I've always said, "I'd rather have one good woman back me up, than ten sorry men."

One feature of democracy, long noted, is its instability.

It would be fun to collect statements regarding political rights for women say from about 1880 to 1920. Curiously my grandmother, born 1889, did not believe women should vote or sit on juries. In fact when called for jury duty in the early 1950’s she stated during voir dire that belief and was removed from the panel. In spite of the parades, marches et cetera not everyone thought it was a good idea. Basically, womens rights flow from democratic egalitarianism.

“Doubtful. Women are a part of politics for good ... or bad depending on the woman. Just like their male counterparts there are good and bad.”

Sure there are good and bad.

The point to be made is what are the odds that a woman elected into office will be conservative vs a man elected into office?

The odds overwhelmingly favor men as the choice of conservatives.

Women can be but statistics sure don’t favorably that way.

Sorta like being black and NOT voting for Obama. What are the odds?
