How about making candidates for president obtain the simplest kind of security clearance which you’d need to be a guard at the gate of any US military base?? I mean, that would have spared us from both SlicKKK KKKlintler and Borque Oinquebama.

I never had to show my BC to get my DL in WI. I showed them my Washington State license. That was sufficient. But, I believe they changed the law since then.

McCain should be ashamed for not seeing about this issue in his campaign against Obama.

That's true, but then again, McLame also declared that we have nothing to fear & no reason to be afraid of 0bozo (the commie pig). McLame wouldn't have had the balls to challenge 0bozo's constitutional qualifications no matter what, because after all that wouldn't be polite, civil discourse or respectful in McLame's peanut brain.

Talk about vetting candidates!

Today we are letting the fox guard the hen
house. The wolves will be herding the sheep! Obama Appoints
two devout Muslims to home land security posts. Doesn’t this
make you feel safer already?

Obama and Janet Napolitano Appointed Arif Alikhan, a devout Muslim, as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development. DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano swore-in Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim, who was born in Damascus, Syria, as ADC National Executive Director as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).

NOTE: Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified as a devout Catholic, a devout Jew or a devout Protestant...?

Devout Muslims being appointed to critical Homeland Security positions? Doesn’t this make you feel safer already??

Was it not “Devout Muslim men” that flew planes into U.S. buildings 8 years ago? Was it not a Devout Muslim who killed 13 at Fort Hood ?

“Sen. Russ Feingold, D, WI is sponsoring a Bill to make this the law of the land everywhere.

Beware, you do not want this law. Opens your elections to all kinds of voter fraud.”

But, WI has had no issues with voter fraud, and neither has my state - WA.../massive sarc

“There is supposed to be a system in place to cross check all these votes, but it is not working yet, even though it was supposed to be in place in 2006.”

Typical liberal crap. Liars, thieves and cheats...all of ‘em. Sorry, I have no patience for ‘em any longer, and I will lump ‘em together and challenge ‘em to get outta the preconceived, prejudicial box I have ‘em in.

When, if any of ‘em wanna talk about the US Constitution in any coherent fashion, perhaps I’ll take that one out of the box. But not until then. Lyin’, stealin’, cheats. Thieves.

It shouldn’t have to be a law. It’s commons sense. Explains why politicians & liberals don’t understand it.

the id thing is a pile of crap isn’t it? I’m in your neighboring state. To get a passport for my disabled child I had to acquire for her a state picture id. it’s very easy to do and only $15 I think, also if you have the dr. sign a paper stating that the person is disabled it’s $4. Not a huge amount.

But I’d be happy for them to show an official birth certificate (not the one the hospital gives you) and proof of residence to get a state photo id free.

Many elderly who may no longer had dl’s have been in the system so it really shouldn’t be to hard to provide proof of residency.

It really bothers me that people who are not competent and had to be placed in nursing care are ‘helped’ to vote, but since they are not declared incompetent in most cases i suppose technically they can vote, I believe in many cases they are taken advantage of. I do think something needs to be done in their case to, since whomever votes for them may not actually vote the way that person normally would if they understood what is going on around them.

I agree with all you wrote. Furthermore, it starts at the lowest level on helping the disabled and elderly to vote. This is a Republican town, but we’ve had a series of Dem City clerks. Who goes to the nursing home to “help” them to vote? THe City clerk. This can make a difference even in local (non-partisan) elections, because we’re all partisan in one way or another. Those city officers can throw an Aldermanic, or Mayoral, election very easily.

We had a case here in WI where a Gubenatorial candidate (our current Gov) gave a “party” for some developmentally challenged people living in a group home. He handed out quarters so they could play Bingo and ice cream. Then, his aides ushered them into another room and “help” them to vote absentee. Funny thing, the AG (Dem) at the time couldn’t find any thing wrong with that. THat’s why some people still call him “Bingo” Doyle.

When my mother was in a nursing home in NJ, a Democrat came around to the nursing home and filled out absentee ballots for everyone in the home, they just signed their names. Of course if the persons was capable of making their own decision, they didn’t stop them. They just encouraged them to vote a straight Democrat ticket.
