Sean Hannity isnt the most incendiary conservative talker on the radio dial. That honor goes to Michael Savage, with Mark Levin coming in a distant second on nights when a lib caller gets under his skin.
And Hannity certainly isnt the funniest. Rush Limbaughs blistering song parodies would be deemed dangerous in a positive way in elite comedy circles had they not targeted the left.
Yet few eclipse Hannity as a conservative warrior, someone whose direct, no apologies embrace of small government helped him rise to the top echelon of todays talkers.
His latest book, Conservative Victory: Defeating Obamas Radical Agenda, is as thorough a deconstruction of the new presidents first year in office as youre likely to find.
Few talkers are as well qualified as Hannity to beat back the arguments of our big government president.
Its been six years since Hannitys face last graced a book cover, but he spills the most ink documenting 2009 President Barack Obamas first year in office. Political junkies wont find many revelations here, but simply compiling evidence of Obamas weaknesses in economic policy, defense, and international relations is captivating all the same.
And more than a tad frightening....

Conservative Victory rarely slips into the extreme side of the political debate, but it goes too far when saying Obamas policies will leave our children and grandchildren in poverty and slavery. But those children's parents are quickly slipping into poverty.

If Michael Savage is a conservative, I’ll buy him a Kosher hot dog. He’s VILE, short-tempered and unruly.

Hannity, and many other prominent radio personalities, believe the answer to our problems lies within politics. Unfortunately it's not that easy. I believe the answers actually lie without politics. You cannot fix a problem by allowing the problem to remain. Politics as usual may be mildly reformed, but the heart of this political machine in Washington DC is too far gone. The most intriguing theater will be what the population chooses to do in the next ten years. Do we give the GOP an overwhelming victory in November, become complacent, and watch them increase government power and size as they did during W Bush, or will there be an uprising throughout this land that will actually see true reform to fruition by getting rid of all the politicians and forcing government to shrink and ultimately loose it's grip on the productive?
Another unfortunate reality, is I do not think this can be done without violence. This violence will not be an offensive by the “tea partiers”, but rather a reaction to an intrusive government that will continue an unconstitutional assault on it's citizens.
This country was founded on “violence”, or more specifically, a firm rejection of King George and his ilk. Blacks gained equal rights through “violence”, no matter what “peaceful” footage our schools choose to show. The Nazis were defeated through “violence” and saved most of Europe from it's evil shadow. Violence is the word the media wants to throw around along with racism and sedition in order to win political points, but remember, violence normally occurs as a reaction, and I believe Washington DC is going to elicit a reaction that they may not be able to handle. I for one am tired of playing the political games the pundits push.

The opening chapter, Obamas History of Radicalism, is the kind of connect-the-dots reportage the media no longer feels compelled to crank out. Its one thing to accuse the president of being a radical, a socialist, or any other potentially demeaning descriptive. But Hannity details not only the Rev. Jeremiah Wrights ties to Obama but those of his innermost circle. So, he took Beck's work and put it in a book?
I must admit I do not listen to Hannity. I do listen to Beck every day I can and have heard Beck take Obama and his relationships to task on a daily basis almost since day one of Obama's term.

I just hope that the Republicans get it this time around - at some level they seem to collectively want business as unusual, not a complete turnaround to fiscal conservationism.

...To be sure, Hannity is a partisan, a republican shill. I'm a libertarian leaning conservative, though, some will argue what direction I lean toward. For all my criticism of Hannity’s POV, I think he is the most passionate and true about his views, and for that, he has my greatest respect...
...Outside of that, I disagree with most of his opinions...

No, he didn’t steal any Beck, although they’re often on a same page. Sean was the first to out Jeremiah Wright, then others caught on. Your comment was out of line, and I’m not a huge Hannity fan. I do admire his no apology bulldog conservatism.
