I thought it was really funny—I’m a big fan of all ethnic humor. It lives in a separate space of unreality.
I haven’t read the whole thread so this may have been mention, but lGabriel Malor at Ace of Spades HQ does a good
job with this. Here is the money quote:

It’d be funny if a Jew told the joke to fellow Jews. It seems to me that, then, they’re poking fun as much at a stereotype as they’re enjoying a rather simple-minded joke. With GEN Jones (Ret), it isn’t funny. There is an underlying cavalier attitude about Jews by Obama and his cronies. I guess with the Liberal ones in America, it makes sense for Obama to be cavalier. They don’t care, and he doesn’t care. For pro-Obama Jews, it seems, being a Jew is like being in the red head club, or the right hander’s club. It’s no big deal; it’s just another distinction. But they’re not the only Jews in the world, and many of these other Jews are in mortal danger all the time. Maybe Obama and the boobs in his administration could consider that fact.
Now Obama will fire James Jones, and thereby “prove” how sensitive he is to anti-Semitism, as he continues to stack the deck against Israel.
I thought it was funny.
