Free Trade does not help. Stossel lacks the integrity or belief to allow econoimists who disagree with him on the issue on his show. He doesn’t allow free trade of ideas but imagines that we can sell off our wealth for chinese products indefinitely

And Friedman made a good point....but why have either? I prefer closed borders and no welfare state.

You're advocating a huge advantage for ownership by allowing the free movement of capital, but restricting the free movement of labor.

Sounds good to me. Seal the borders already.

I've come around to your position. The thing about closed borders that makes is nervous is the part about "Papers, please!" Because anything we do to keep "them" out will eventually be put on us too ("us" being the native-borns and those with their citizenship paperwork in place).
