Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar was asked in a Feb. 26, 2010, letter from Western Caucus Chairman Rep. Rob Bishop, R-UT, and other representatives from western states for the missing pages from a leaked government memo that “contained detailed information about the administration’s plans to designate as many as 14 new national monuments and lock up as much as 13 million acres in states throughout the West.”
Bishop and his colleagues asked Salazar to provide the missing pages by March 26, or a month after their letter went to the Interior chief. More than two months later and Bishop has received exactly nothing from Salazar in response to the February 26 request.
Joining Bishop in making the request of Salazar were Rep. Doc Hastings, R-WA, the ranking GOP member of the House Natural Resources Committee, and 14 other members of the Western Caucus.
The congressmen have seven pages from the memo, including pages 15 – 21, which list the 14 potential new monuments and costs associated with the project, but the members have no way of knowing what else was in the memo or how many pages it totalled.

I saw an interview a month ago or so. The feds own over 70% of Utah and now want more and the state legislature is taking it back with emminent domain.
In Oregon between the state and the fed they own over 90% of our land. That is why umemployment is 12-14%, can't go in the woods and log, can't go in the ocean and fish, can't burn the fields for premimun world renown grass seed now!!!
But our representatives are, "fighting for the people of Oregon"! For unemployment extensions, mass money for schooling for the loggers and farmers that the politicians have put out of work and state health care for the welfare recipients. Businesses will pay for it all with a 1% income tax on their gross yearly income.
Keep in mind that the Communist Party was running that Little Red Schoolhouse in -- where was it? Bellevue? -- back when Obama's mama was a student in the mid-50's.
They've been interested in the West Coast for a long time. Wonder why? Naval establishment in Puget Sound?
Notice that Obama's grandparents moved from Kansas (near Fort Riley?) to the Seattle area -- and then to Hawaii. Sounds like they were both Red, and the KGB was moving them around to cover opportunities.
Someone needs to get busy with the Venona files, looking to see if he can identify Obama's grandparents.
Alexander Hamilton wouldn't. He might have envisioned an elite-subserving government just as illimitably powerful and active as ours has become.

I have a better idea. Lets limit the fed gov to it's constitutional limits. The federal district, defense establishments and such limited buildings as required to fulfill the duties of the fed gov.
As much as I like the national parks I just can't seem to find authorization for them in the Constitution

Back then and more now it is super rich snobby types that live there. Wouldn't surprise me if they had communists in their midst, lots of white guilt.
Back in the mid-50's, Obama's grandparents moved from Kansas to suburban Seattle, and there was a then-new school there that had some Communists on faculty that were teaching Commie Red world history and arty-farty Red wordgames (under the nominal name of literature) in a certain wing of the school. Two teachers were the culprits ..... and yet of all places to go to school, little Stanley Ann wound up there.
