There is no racism in this law. You are not required to carry anymore documentation after the law was signed as before it was signed. Indeed, this is the key setup! As Mark Levin pointed out yesterday, the law specifically states that race, etc cannot be used to base suspicion on...which provides a specific remedy for a suspect to sue the officer on!
Whether it be the Holder Justice Dept, or the Al Sharpton ambulance chaser brigade, or some local sleazy Dem lawyer, a suit WILL BE BROUGHT aginst some poor cop just carrying out this law.
And when they do, the Dems and Obama will milk the trial for all it is worth....little old hispanic lady, born an raised in Phoenix, pulled over and 'harassed' by cops....just because of her race!
Let's meet back here at this post in three months and see. I hope I'm wrong, but I suspect that the Dems are salivating over this tee shot playing right through till November.
Can't do that way over here, but buying from Arizona businesses via the Internet will help. Unfortunately, it's hard to tell a left wing business from a right wing business simply by looking at the site.

I think the overwhelming majority of Americans know we have an illegal crime (and welfare) problem. If there are law suits, I can't help but think most people will still support some one doing something to stop the influx. I don't think it will hurt Arizona in the eyes of greater America. No one wants their state to become like Arizona. If Arizona isn't a success, all states are going to be at greater risk, because Arizona is like the entry point.
Right now, Missouri, Chicago, and Utah are also bring up the idea in various places. It's a good thing to adopt this federal law and actually enforce it.
And this is how the spin is going to look....In Chicago terms, "Our team put one of their issues in the hospital. Their team will try to put one of ours in the morgue."
The right is by definition totally unprepared for this perverse "devil's game."

Utah should not copy bad law
We all recognize the image: A uniformed man pulls someone out of a line of people at a bus stop or orders someone walking along the street to stop. Then he holds out a hand and demands "Papers!" Some form of that scenario plays out in almost every movie about a police state where the law is at odds with human rights.
That's the kind of scene possible in Utah under Rep. Stephen Sandstrom's proposal to require immigrants to carry ID that proves they are living in Utah legally.
There is no racism in this law.
The media and left don’t read the laws. They spew whatever they need to persuade - it doesn’t matter if it is true, or in the law. America is pretty uninformed, and that is what they count on. America also has found a fondness for hate- the left knows that and uses it.

According to FEDERAL law, guest workers from other countries have to carry their green cards with them at all times. All they have to do is show them. Big deal. We show our drivers licenses every time we're pulled over for a traffic infraction - and we're legal American citizens!.
Yes, The Arizona Republic took the side of the illegals too and we all know how well that worked out. The people of Utah aren’t stupid. They know where all the illegals are going to go after they leave Arizona. California is on the verge of bankruptcy so only about half of them will go there, the rest are headed up to Utah, Nevada and Colorado.
The problem with illegal immigration in Arizona is that all Americans of Latino heritage are looked on as suspects — even within their own community. In a decade the state has gone from a model of racial harmony to a dysfunctional being. Thousands of homes were bought for illegals by real estate coyotes who gamed the mortgage system. This situation exacerbated the economic meltdown. Illegals couldn’t find work, dumped their homes, and returned to Mexico. The result has been disastrous in the satellite cities that surround Phoenix. As could be expected, the race hustlers — perpetual University students, radical priests, union organizers, California revolutionaries, druggies, get all the ink. There is, however, a majority of Arizonans who understand that there has to be a crack-down on illegals who have brought a crime wave and economic dislocaation to their state.
So the leftist organizations moved in and set the stage for all this illegal crime and chaos. It figures.
In order to create a socialist society, you have to totally destroy the one in existence first. Then, you can come in as the savior and rebuild it in your own image.

The law is great. A really good right cross counterpunch to the open-border nwo-ers. But the fact is, the LAW actually creates standing for ambulance chasers and race baiters to sue in a dramatic fashion.

I doubt it. If you go to this thread and click on the Obama Voter Video thread at #60, you would have to despair of getting anything constructive out of those people. Even the young black woman who has obvious intelligence (intelligence doesn't equal wisdom, as Thomas Sowell says)and is OPENLY confronted with her electoral ignorance and misinformation (That she cannot deny) says: “I guess I am not as informed as I thought I was...but, I don’t think I would change my decision, though...”
It is discouraging, because even though it is clear she isn't STUPID, and she KNOWS she is wrong, ill informed and based her vote on faulty impressions and information, wouldn't change her mind. Sure, I know it is most likely racial. I guess that is what I find discouraging.

He was totally against the new law.
I Googled his name, and sure enough, the guy is a life-long Democrat, a fact that was evidently not germane to Skinner’s report.
