Welcome to the new world of Global Warming hysteria!

This is happening too in South Australia where I live. Yes there has been a prolonged drought here but now that the rains have come I bet that the allowance is not returned!

After all it’s for the children. /sarcasm off

ca has the weather and whether it has the water is very much a huge factor! Water here is better than water elsewhere due to the climate and the fruit.

Drive up the cost of a scarce resource, kill those at the bottom of the economic rung, YEP sounds like marxism to me.

“After all it’s for the children.”

I thought American Marxists were alone in this justification. I suppose the Marxists are good at copying each other.

I disagree - it is brought to you by your government! This nothing less than TREASON! To jeopardize population food supply for a fish that is not even indigenous (introduced in 1941) is TREASON!

I wonder if they'd turn the water back on if the farmers switched to growing corn for ethanol?

Pay special attention to the part about water for votes. Pure evil. But even with the increase, crops cant be planned, due to the intermintment supply. The intermintent supply is what we had before irrigation, it was called rain, and you cant build an industry around that. But worst of all, is these trees are dead, and the entire industry will have to start over from scratch. So a short interuption in water creates a 6 year problem.

I thought I heard in return for a senator voting yes on the health bill that part of the water would be turned on?

They send the water down to the colony that used to be Los Angele.

They do it to support the huge influx of illegal aliens into California.

It was two congressmen. Costa is rep for the area highlighted. Funny how the delta smelt were being sucked into the pumps, so the pumps were turned off. Conditions are the same, but now the pumps are supposed to be started again? Pure vote buying. Natural rain fall is about 10 inches. Nothing grew before the aquaduct, but native sage and scrub. And CA poppies in the spring.
