San Francisco Leads Charge to Boycott Arizona, But Calls Could Spark Backlash
FOXNews.com ^ | Updated April 28, 2010 | Foxnews.com

Sanctuary city San Francisco is leading the charge in pressing municipalities and groups to consider a boycott of Arizona over its law that will allow police to ask people their immigration status.

Mayor Gavin Newsom this week suspended all non-essential travel for city employees going to Arizona, meaning no conference in Scottsdale next weekend for members of the city's housing authorities. The city's Board of Supervisors also has taken the first step toward an economic boycott, a move that could result in the suspension of existing contracts with Arizona-based companies and a ban on new ones.

But Newsom also has formed an "Arizona Boycott Workgroup” to analyze if and how an economic boycott could backfire on San Francisco businesses. For instance, the city does business with a company that accepts and processes payments in Arizona. There's concern if the boycott is made uniform, 2,500 San Franciscans could lose their jobs.

So what's a liberal to do?

Go for principle or go for money?

We will just have to make up the dif and add some more!!!

Every one who intends on going to AZ for a trip should let the tourist people know ASAP of their intentions..or the AZ government..somebody.

Works for me.

For that matter, boycott all of California.

There’s 49 other states to provide produce that CA has picked by illegals.

When you buy your produce, look and see where it comes from. No oranges from California, no whines from California etc.

Az grows quite a lot of produce.

That just might be a horror.

But I don’t watch TV anyway.

You know, I don’t think that the left realizes the power we can wield through boycotts. There are so few of them that their intimidation efforts will more than come back to bite them when grassroots America says “Enough!”.

For every conservative group they boycott, we can unboycott them and more than make up the business for them that they lost from the libs.

For that matter, I’m going to make a real concerted effort to buy American only. I really don’t care whether it costs more or not. In the long run, it’s going to end up being cheaper if we don’t have all those illegals to support on welfare, etc.

I’m not familiar with the Commerce Clause.

From Article 1, Section 8; the Commerce Clause: To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;

That's it. That's the entire "Commerce Clause".

Now it seems to mean whatever they say it means.

When Arizona arrests beaners under the new law, instead of sending them back to Mexico, they should issue a bus ticket to San Francisco and a detailed guide, en español, to available taxpayer-supported California social services.

Anyone remember this? From 2005?

“Boycott San Francisco! The Iowa:
Today the SF Board of Supervisors engaged in an offensive display of prejudice, stupidity and a lack of respect for history, both of the military and of the gay community.

“The San Francisco Board of Supervisors today voted 3-8 against a resolution urging the San Francisco Congressional Delegation to support the permanent berthing of the USS Iowa as a museum at the Port of San Francisco.”

I'm sorry, but I will not ever visit a place where the US military is not welcome.

San Francisco has gotten so insular and cut off from reality that it has gotten loonier than Colorado Springs did after its takeover by the theocrats.

Altogether now, BOYCOTT SAN FRANCISCO!

I agree with the California boycott. That means all movies, all music (if you guys can’t get rid of movies and music all together, limit what you buy), sports teams, actually going to California, the California cows, and anything else that comes from California. We need a list of companies and products that come out of California.

As much as I love my state the damage done to her by the left, R/CINOS and the criminal invasion from Mexico seems almost irreversible at this point.

I can’t afford to leave but even if I could I’d rather stay and try to fight the good fight.

This is still my home....pray for us, we need it!
