I find gardening to be relaxing and therapeutic. Yes, I work up a sweat and, yes, it is inconvenient at times. But other than raising kids, I can’t think of anything else which gives you an opportunity to work with God and help create something beautiful.
Black youth unemployment is around 40%...plenty of idle hands to employ right here.

There are American citizen who landscape. I know a whole family that landscapes.
I do all of my own gardening and lawn care.
No one can take more pride in my lawn than me, and I work for free.
There are lots of us out of work.

Do it yourself. Pay yourself six bucks an hour. Save it up. Before too long you’ll be able to treat yourself to something nice. Plus, you’ll get the exercise, the fresh air, and fresh veggies for the table to boot.
It’s a win-win all the way around. And you’ll be able to look yourself in the mirror and realize you’re not aiding and abetting the destruction of your own country just for the sake of a little personal convenience.
I’ve had white 40 year old guys with sock tans and corporate haircuts placing flyers in my mailbox to mow the lawn, mulch, clean gutters etc. Unemployment is high. Hire a hard working ex IT guy and help him and his family out.
I’m guessing that if those kids wanted to be doing that, they already would.

Maybe we can now give them the choice, landscaping or jail? It certainly would keep many off the street and bring a reduction in crime.
We could also have it be a punishment for bullying and bullying in the schools would stop overnight.
Where do you live? I’ve never seen anyone other than the home owners or businesses mowing or doing yard work.
True. Where I grew up and in that time, there were no Mexicans. Poor people did the field work and the high school kids.We were glad for the money. Around here the best football player loads hay with his father and does ranch work

I live where Circuit City went out of business. Where Capital One has had layoffs. Where Wachovia moved to St Louis while trimming jobs beforehand. Where Quimonda went belly up.

They can be used for all of the landscaping jobs that are currently filled by overpayed SEIU workers in cities and towns across America. Fire the SEIU workers thereby saving the taxpayers a bundle and have the police who will certainly have some free time since crime will go down supervise them.
My Mexican American who has been my yard man for over a decade will still be there.
The same goes for our Mexican American lady who cleans our home.

On Saturday we will all be treated to wall to wall coverage of the downtrodden immigrants from Mexico, at their rally’s, proudly waving the Mexican flag.
I find this funny, sickening and sad all at the SAME time. It’s SO very sad that these people show such loyalty to a place that gave them nothing.
I know, I know.... They were born there. And that makes it even SADDER. Mexico didn’t even give most of these people a decent education.
All the while, Calderon and the Mexican elites say to them...

It used to be that college kids spent their summer working farms to pay their next years tuition. Why is the government taking money from taxpayers for college grants and aid when these students could be earning it themselves?

Right and that’s the problem ... if you hire out you’re responsible if someone gets hurt ... it will come to the point when you take a taxi and the taxi gets into an accident you’ll be held liable too since you hired the cab ....
What's your job? I'm sure we can find some third world person - or maybe some intelligent Chinese person - to do it cheaper.
Do YOU want to compete with people who will do anything to get here? Even undercut your pay, your wife's pay, and your kids pay to do it?
Do your own effing gardening or hire a legal fellow citizen.
We have had a wonderful man who has cut our grass, trimmed our shrubs, raked our leaves, etc for about 25 years and he is the best. For some reason he has his nephews living with him and they have been helping for about 5-10 years. Guess he is grooming them to take over when he retires. He and his crew do most of the yards on this street and many others throughout town. No, he is not an illegal. I would not hire them.
The irony is, they make all these laws regulating us, and then move all the work over to China and India where some kid does it anyway

There are plenty of willing and able bodied Americans.
When a farm in Arizona was recently raided, 300 illegals were taken away.
Hundreds of Americans turned out to fill those jobs.
It’s a myth spread by liberals that “illegals are only taking the jobs that Americans don’t want”.
According to the video I saw yesterday, a better question would be, would those working for you use those rakes and hoes to beat you with?
After the past few days who would want or trust someone to do their gardening.
