Ronstadt's family has deep roots here and are quite remarkable. But she seems to emphasize her Mexican roots rather than her German ones, which is where most of the accomplishments came from.
She came back here to live for a while before she went back to SF to raise her kids in a gay neighborhood, because she thought Tucson was "too conservative".
Activism for illegals is not new for her.

Didn't she get fired in Las Vegas a few years ago for refusing to sing the National Anthem or something like that...it was something unpatriotic.
Well, singing has nothing to do with poltical clout, except to superficial democrats.

Some Californians remember her for her affair with Jerry Brown.

It's actually pretty cool when every single liberal, Hollywood figure, media outlet, and RINO speaks out against something you are supporting. Means you are on exactly the right track. :)

Eh, she probably just recalls her old coke-supply-line from south of the border with all too much fondness.

It’s funny how she didn’t discover her Mexican roots until she stopped being popular and a few musical imports from Mexico started.

Linda Ronstadt says, "You're No Good" to Anti- Illegal Immigration Law I liked Ronstadt's version of that song, but I didn't know until recently that it was largely identical to Betty Everett's 1963 version:

AZ is only attempting to enforce EXISTING FEDERAL LAW that the President and the US Attorney General and DHS head do not want to enforce.
