My theory is still that the Dems are doing this so they will have an opportunity to recreate the US Flag. I bet it will have an “O” in it.

I just don't see how anything the Democrats are pushing can possibly benefit conservatives.
The Dems are only enthusiastic about socialist initiatives.

Its still a conservate state that will lean toward the right and not the big pick up for dems that everyone thinks it will be.Maybe you know something different but the voting patterns of Puerto Ricans living in the NY area is anything but conservative. Do they vote differently in their native land?

Mike Pence did sound favorably about this bill in a radio interview I heard locally today,..however I have heard the opposite (of what you claim)..Are yousure?

Why do they call themselves Progressives? For the same reason the center-right party in Canada has "Progressive" in their name, and the center-right party in Australia is the Liberal Party, while the fascist party in the U.S. is calls themselves the "Democratic Party": political party names make no sense.

The Governor and House Speaker and Senate Majority Leader are all republicans in PR with super majorities. Irrelevant. Once PR becomes a state, new elections will be held.

I thought Puerto Rico went for Obama by a pretty large margin in 2008. I would say that is a better indicator of their political leanings.

The dem’s are too stupid to see how they are screwing themselves. Even Cubans vote republican. PR will vote like Cubans. They already have a republican Gov and House leader and Senate President.

Which Catholic church are you referring to?
I think most of the bishops in this country
from everything I have read is in favor of the
amnesty-for-illegals. In the last election I
thought that more Catholics voted for our
socialist president than those who voted against
him. How do you spell Father Pfleger?

North Carolina and Virginia went for Obama too.

First of all, being 'republicans' doesn't mean a darn thing. Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, Mitt Romney, Arlen Specter, Charlie Christ ... need I type more? Who can forget John McCain? All good and trustworthy conservatives, no?
Secondly, any group with the word 'progressive' in their vocabulary has to be examined with a microscope. You do know what a progressive is, don't you? Progressives will also lie at the drop of a hat if it will advance their agenda in the long run.

It sounds risky. Immigrants from Puerto Rico are overwhelmingly Democrat.

The fact that one of the three choices was left off the ticket should be a clue as to what's going on. One of the three choices was to remain a commonwealth. That was not included. It was either A. statehood or B. independence.

He was positive because he and 59 other idiot members of the OP(formerly the GOP) cosponsored the bill!

The New Progressive Party may be more conservative than the other guys, but that’s like saying RINOs are more conservative than Democrats.
