You think you are safe here in America. Don't you think the Jews in Poland, who lived there for a thousand years and had a rich history there, felt safe? It was the Israel of Europe, and yet millions were wiped out in only a couple of years. You are not safe.

This part especially bears repeating. More than once I've wondered how close our situation is to the one my grandmother faced when she began plotting to get her family out of Deutschland circa 1935.

You have a valid point about the location of the protest, MestaMachine. If you are demonstrating against some policy, you normally hold the rally proximal to the antagonist's seat of power - in a free country, that is. Ideally, in this case, the venue would be Washington, DC, as close to the White House (or perhaps the State Department) as possible.

BTW, I'm not sure if it was Pam Geller's decision as to the location of the rally.

Also, it was not a "Jews only" organization, as Christian, Hindu, and Sheik groups also participated.

One quarter of us do. As for majority, remember that Blacks voted Republican 3 to 1 before FDR bought them with jobs. Things change. Give it time and keep the hope for those that are lost in the wilderness.
