ENOUGH ALREADY
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has come to the defense, more or less, of Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, who signed off on tougher immigration laws and sparked a flood of public criticism from elected officials, editorial cartoonists and extremists who likened Arizona to a Nazi police state and its governor to Hitler.
"We are seeing these offensive and inappropriate Nazi and Holocaust comparisons come to the fore in the public debate once again. We saw it in the health care debate, and now we are seeing it with Arizona," says ADL director Abraham H. Foxman. "Comparisons to the Nazis may be politically expedient and serve an agenda of demonizing those who supported the bill, but in the end they do great damage to the memory of 6 million Jews and the millions of others and soldiers who fought to defeat Nazism."

Wow... ADL and Shamnesty International both having stopped clock moments. We must truly be in bizarro world.
“Let’s remember that the Nazi identity cards were part and parcel of a plan to force Jews into ghettos and for their ultimate deportation to extermination camps.

For this to even begin to resemble the nazis we would have to start rounding up American citizens and shipping them off to death camps. (So far the only proposals for doing that have come from William Ayers and pals)
Then we would have to invade Canada and Mexico and do the same there.
Nope, not right even once. Read the last paragraph in post 2.
Can’t help but wonder what old Abe thinks of the Palistinian/Israeli border situation and how much he would approve of the world demanding Israel allow the illegal Palis to flood Israel?
Abe is not wrong in this. On the other hand Abe and his group all too often advocate Fascist solutions to problems best left to ordinary law enforcement, or to the market place.
That sort of bias ALSO tends to blur the distinction between the Nazis and others, to the benefit of the Nazis.
I think Abe should take the lead and get ADL out of the practice of pulling words out of context, or misconstruing aggressors as victims.
Do you know if the ADL made a statement like this in regard to President Bush being called a nazi and BushHitler for 8 years?
Point taken. So it is OK for ADL to use the Nazi comparison and not anyone else.

Bump
The constant and malicious references to the Nazis in opposing the enforcement of the rule of law in Arizona, a sovereign state in a sovereign nation, is beyond the pale of decency and a monstrous insult to the victims of the Nazis and heroism and sacrifice of those who defeated them. But that’s to be expected of the low-brow racist’s, open-border-law-breakers and their Marxist-allies.The galling irony and hypocrisy in the aims of these open-border, ‘’citizen-ship now’’ thugs complaining that they’re ‘’discriminated’’ against and the ones who say’’ this part of the US was ours and we want it back, amnesty now!’’, is that the Nazis claimed not only their own racial superiority but they also claimed to be victims of racism and discrimination, loudly and pugnaciously complaining they were a people’s whose lands had been ‘’stolen from them by other nations and that parts(if not all) of other nations in Europe had been/were theirs at one time and they wanted them back. The infuriating spectacle of Americans being treated in such a fashion because we have the nerve to undertake measures as is legally our right to do so and engage in the rule of law is becoming more than I myself can bear.
