Flood must be bad, if you cannot provide a link.

Cars caught in rising water on I-24 in Nashville are totally submerged. Gridlock in many areas of Nashville. And Williamson County south of the city. More rain on the way. Worst flooding in the region in 15 years or so. They even cancelled a prom in Antioch (SE Nashville), that’s how bad it is.

Maybe they can give Boston some of their water. I heard they are on a boil water alert.

Haven’t heard any reports of flooding in the Vanderbilt area, but I-24 near Briley parkway is flooded (east of there the other side of downtown). Traffic is the problem now due to many closed roads around town. All three major interstates are impassible in places. The mayor of Nashville says stay home if your home isn’t flooded.

Yup - I’m in Franklin, outside Nashville. It’s devastating. Cars FLOATING down the interstate, along with a school portable classroom. All roads into a nearby town, closed. Our creeks and rivers here have crested.

Here at the house, the basement is flooding, we’ve been doing the water vac now for several hours

Care to give the rest of us who DON’T live in Nashville a clue as to what caused this?

From what I’m hearing we had over 8” of rain in a very short period of time...just a few hours. I’m also afraid to say that they are forecasting more of the same for tonight and tomorrow...so stay tuned.

Torrential rains all day long, tornado threats.... bad weather that had massive amt of rain. We got 8” here and some areas 10”-12” in a short period of time.

Hehe...that’s what the entire Western part of Tennessee looks like. I woke up at 5:30am with the fire department sitting outside my house and a river running down the street. (Memphis area).
