N. Korean leader's trip to China seen imminent: source

SEOUL, May 2 (Yonhap) -- A trip to China by North Korean leader Kim Jong-il appears imminent, a South Korean government source said Sunday.

The North's leader "has not crossed into China yet, but it appears highly likely that his Chinese trip would come either today or tomorrow as a considerable level of preparations have been done," the source said on condition of anonymity.

The source did not provide specifics.

If realized, Kim's long-speculated trip to China had been expected to raise the prospects of reopening six-nation talks on ending North Korea's nuclear programs. But such chances were thrown into doubt in the wake of the sinking of a South Korean naval ship in waters near North Korea.

Some interesting background on the six nation talks- with a liberal spin

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/06/18/AR2009061802560.html

Note the Wash Post indicates the six nation talks were the Bush admin’s way of “avoiding” bilateral talks with NK and both Kerry and obama grandstanded in their campaigns on criticisms of Bush policy and promises to hold “direct” talks

Afetr I read about the track record of failed advice of a certain State Dept employee named Christopher Hill, I wondered what he was doing these days- and discovered obama appointed this loser as US Ambassador to Iraq

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/tag/christopher-hill/
http://newledger.com/2009/04/christopher-hill-deep-kimchee-for-iraq/

Before mucking up US policy in North Korea Christoper Hill was involved in advising US policy on the Balkans. Isn’t it interesting how one faceless incompetent advisor can screw up so many US policies in so many parts of the world

both Kerry and obama grandstanded in their campaigns on criticisms of Bush policy and promises to hold “direct” talks

Doing this would play right into Chia Head's game. Their grand plan is to cut a deal and isolate S. Korea, making U.S. troops leave S. Korea, and U.S. stay neutral between two Koreas.

Then by war or slow intimidation, they can lean on S. Korea and slowly take it over. This has been their strategy since the days of Kim Il-sung, his father.

Christoper Hill

I heard that he is a Holbrooke protege. The guy is a feckless product of Foggy Bottom. The trouble is that he is probably not a fringe odd ball, but rather a part of Foggy Bottom mainstream.

Leading at the top of those preparations, setting the tone/atmosphere with sinking a SK ship with a torpedo.

“The reclusive leader rarely travels abroad, and there have been rumors that he fears flying.”

No kidding, Jackie O prevented JFK Jr from getting his pilot’s license while she was alive.

He gets his license, considers challenging the Bitch Hillary for NY Senator, then Pres. as a Republican and his plane goes down.

Coincidence? I don’t think so.
