Under the constitutional framework, the state of Louisiana under Governor Blank-0 was tasked with being the lead, and the Federal government is required to accept a supporting role (unless invited by the Governor to take over). Blank-0 was offered help in the early hours of Katrina and for more than 48 hours declined that offer. In this case, with the disaster emanating 48 miles offshore, and the response authority codified in the 1990 law, the Feds had the lead from the first hour.
And of all people, why did Obama trust the oil companies he has repeatedlyvilified as irresponsible, dishonst and greedy to take care of things?

As revolting of a thought as Zero as president until 2016 is, I think that it is probably a strong possibility. Short of him being shown as non-qualifying, or gets caught in bed with a 12 year old boy, I think that he will get another term. As for me, I would rather he got a couple of 20 year terms to run consecutively.

Have you noticed that when he and or Michelle visit schools, you only see African American Children?Those highly advantaged (employed, clean and sober) families who will do the work of homeschooling or paying for private school have already removed their children. Many of them, btw, are black.
