GREENFIELD A homeowner held an intruder at gunpoint early Sunday when he awoke to discover the intoxicated man had wandered into his Greenfield home.
Richard Johnson, 38, awoke to the sound of voices around 5 a.m., according to police reports. Moments later, he saw a man n later identified as 40-year-old John McGraw of Arizona n walking past the bedroom door of his home in the first block of West Michigan Street.
He just came through the back door, Johnson said. I forgot to lock it. I hardly ever use the back door.
McGraw proceeded into the house, and thats when police say Johnson grabbed a handgun and chased after him.
I told him to get down, and he just laid down and started apologizing, Johnson said. Im just glad he surrendered very quickly and didnt have anything in his hands when he turned around.
McGraw, who police say was visibly intoxicated and wearing no shoes, told the homeowner he was a Comcast Communications employee.

I bet he locks his back door tonight.
Comcast employee? Figures. Those guys always just show up “whenever”.
“Comcast employee? Figures. Those guys always just show up whenever.”
At least this one was considerate enough to take his shoes off while parading around the home while looking for the cable box.
(which I believe means you're good).
