Arizona Sun Company Sees Benefits of 'Buycott'
Fox 10 ^ | 5-4-10

SCOTTSDALE - As the firestorm around SB 1070 picks up speed, a company called Arizona Sun is weathering the storm. But the reaction is different than expected.

Bob Wallace runs the million-dollar skin care and hair care product business out of Scottsdale. The company supplies to thousands of locations across the United States.

He was worried about a backlash, but Wallace says something odd is happening. While some are emailing that they will boycott Arizona Sun products just because of the Arizona connection -- others are buying products just to support the company.

Perhaps this company should make cases of ‘samples’ that US Patriots can pass out at the Cinco De Mayo protests? I can imagine that several groups would love to pass out ‘free’ Arizona Sun sunscreen samples at those protests.

To the Patriotic protesters, they would use it to protect their skin from the sunshine - and it would be a not-too-subtle veiled insult to the opposition.

There's a better petition. I admire Gov. Brewer, but sign that and you're just asking for campaign solicitation spam later.

Try this one instead...

A week ago I booked a bird watching vacation in SE Ariz. (best spot in the U.S. for hummingbirds). We will also visit the Sonora Desert Museum in Tucson.

I posted it on another thread here and received various warnings about not going into the mountains alone because of smugglers, etc.

I appreciate people's concern and will heed the warnings. Too bad you can't do something as wholesome and enjoyable as birding without worrying about unpoliced cross-border crime.

But I still encourage others to go ahead and visit Arizona as well!

Thank you. I just posted something on a company that makes food products, all made locally in Arizona. I’m looking for T-shirts. Not with a political message, but just with something that says Arizona or an Arizona tourist attraction. I would buy a bunch of these.

Based in Connecticut, though.

One of our gubernatorial candidates got a red face when he seemed not to know Remington was in New York State. Hesitated when asked what kind of gun he would buy. Of course that could have been for any number of reasons.
