If Noahs Ark has been sitting on a mountain somewhere in the Middle East for a few millennia, a few more months of waiting are a small price to pay, at least for Randall Price.
Price, who heads Liberty Universitys Center For Judaic Studies, talked in January about his planned two-season expedition into Turkey, with the hopes of finding the Biblical artifact. He arrived in Turkey over the summer.
But Price said since then, hes faced pressure from a political group in Turkey that is forcing him to keep his excursion very hush-hush.
Theres not a lot (regarding Noahs Ark) that I can say, Price said, but he went on to give some basic details of what he plans to do next August, as the expedition finishes up.
Price said in January that he believes the Biblical boat is resting on Mount Ararat, covered by a glacier that sometimes temporarily recedes to give glimpses of what he believes is an ancient structure.
We did penetrate about 18 feet down into the glacier, and we have some evidence that were in the right place, Price said, adding satellite data puts them about 30 feet from their goal.
Price said hes aware that whatever rests under the glacier might not be the jackpot he has been looking for.
While wed like to think its Noahs Ark, were not sure what it is, but its in the right place, he said.
Price said whatever there is to be discovered, it should be found when he returns in the coming summer.
There is negotiation between Turkish authorities and this warring faction, he said, and that should enable us to go back without problems next year.
Roll out, “geez not this sh*t” again.
At least there’s a picture of a guy in an icehole this time.
Who’s paying for all this? I don’t need the discovery of Noah’s ark in order to prove God’s existence or His love for us.
The big question is: WILL IT FLOAT?
The timing is interesting as in this age of unbelief, people might need this kind of evidence of Biblical truth.
Whoever keeps this story going is, in the famous words of Johnny Dangerously, a fargin’ icehole. And speaking of such people, where’s Geraldo?
I truly think that someday some completely amazing artifacts will be found.
I don’t NEED Noah’s ark to believe in God and the Bible but I think it is so exciting that the ark might be found. The same with the Shroud of Turin, I want it to be authentic. I can’t really explain the reason why I feel this way.
Either that or maybe they’ll find Yasser up there somewhere on his mountain.

What an icehole!
If you believe this, I would hope that you would discourage this exercise.
Summer is upon us. What’s happening? When?
Global Warming may cause the ice to melt and reveal what is actually there.
Thanks colorado tanker.

LOL! (How many of these can they publish???)
If I were Noah’s family and just got stranded on the top of some mountain with nothing around, I would first start dismantling the ship to build the homes for my family. We will never find this vessel. It would not make sense to leave such tooled wood laying around and not use it in the New World. Sorry Everyone!
