What about FedEx? Will they deliver? Post office?

Hearing some of the stories about union thuggery out of Illinois, I can’t say that I blame UPS - I do however agree with you completely. I’m just pointing out that it may be UPS policy out of fear for employee and equipment safety.

Fedex is non-union, so I would guess ‘yes’.

Good to know. Guess who'll get my business?

I stopped using UPS years ago unless absolutely necessary when they refused to ship a scope for me because the box said it was intended for long eye-relief installations including scout rifles and pistols. The punk kid at the desk smarmily declared that he wouldn’t ship it because it was a handgun part. The manager refused to discipline him. That location never gets my business, and UPS has lost about $500 from me as a result.

This is why FedEx has been one of the strongest opponents of the Federal "card check" legislation.

This is also why FedEx has effectively killed the bill by telling the U.S. government that it would cancel its next large order of new Boeing aircraft if that law is passed. That threat basically removed support for the law among Democrats in a number of states where Boeing has a large presence.

The Teamster Union has the labor contract with UPS. If one was to choose the bad guy here, I’d say the Teamsters as they have a long reputation of being in your face on union issues. UPS has to go along to get along.

Don’t forget to take advantage of the ones
God has sent to you. They may want to harm
you, but God means it for His good purpose.
Tell the Union Representatives about the
greatest Labor of Love Union in the universe.
Tell them about Jesus! Either they will come
back for more, send others, or they will not
return. Win! Win! Win!

His forever...

NOTE: I will not be quick to conclude this
story is true. Many of these “true stories”
are designed to slander competition.

My Opinion

Imagine how WalMart could make them soil themselves by announcing they would shutter every store at 6:01AM the morning after it passes?

I've boycotted UPS whenever possible because of their strike back in the 90s.

FedEx where possible, and if I have to USPS (yes, I know). The only time I use UPS is if that is the only method available from the sender.

Unions are the storm troopers of socialism. UPS becomes a useful idiot.

It is happening at my building scumbag...so unless you want to stupidly call someone a liar whom you do not know anything about don’t smear.

I won’t order from anybody that uses UPS exclusively.

UPS can’t follow instructions, even when their records show them repeated 3 times.

They sure are. I remember back when I was a young man in the seventies and driving a truck for a window manufacturer (non-union) and the truckers were striking. Of course they were not satisfied with just striking somewhere where it didn’t cause problems, they shut down sections of highways around Chicago for hours at a time. No police were ever around to protect the innocent from being mugged by these scumbags and they did hurt some people. It is where I really got to understand what unions are really about.

An informative picket line is not a picket line, labor action. UPS’s refusal may constitute a secondary boycott which is illegal.

I think it would be almost impossible not to use them sometimes, but we sure can avoid them whenever possible.

My long gone Father In Law used to say... they couldn’t spill the pee out of a boot with the instructions written on the heel... :)

So, you think UPS is absolved from it’s actions? Crazy thinking...
