Burqa ban is 'un-Australian' say Muslims

A CALL for a controversial ban on wearing the burqa in public has split opinion and sparked outrage from the Muslim community who labelled it a political stunt.

Liberal Senator Cory Bernardi yesterday sparked outrage after he called for the Islamic headdress to be banned following an earlier robbery in a Sydney store by a burqa clad man.

Writing on his personal blog, the outspoken senator said the veil was "emerging as the preferred disguise of bandits and n'er do wells".

Fair suck of the sav fellas.
We kicked the crap of the old 'wogs' when they first came into Aussie. And they were Christian! They then turned out to be a bloody good bunch.
Crikey, they even play Aussie rules! Something I struggle with.
Why don't we extend the hand of Christian friendship and teach them why this land is far, far, far better then the GOD forsaken hole they crawled out of. They don't seem very smart so it could take some time.
I say this because look at the strife their people are in and they don't seem to want to change. Easier moving to a country where others have done the hard work for them. Patience fellas patience. Lets just give them an extra quid, and smile.
