What's getting slammed now, as it did with the Duke scandal, is the "culture" of lacrosse, as if the moment a boy picks up a lacrosse stick he overnight becomes a raging idiot who is probably prone to violent and abusive behavior. Any right-minded person knows there's no basis for such a broad stroke. Over the years I've encountered some true messes in lacrosse, players with poor conduct and a bad attitude who had no right in that or any other game. But those bad apples can be found in any sport.
When the Love murder was made public, and the suspect identified as a high profile college lacrosse player, my heart sank.

Lacrosse has a LONG way to go before it can even begin to compete for “thug crown”. Basketball and Football are both well beyond Lacrosse in terms of murder, rape, domestic violence, vehicular homicide, drunk driving, misc federal weapons charges, drug dealer, illegal gambling rings, dog fighting etc, etc.
Hogwash —the truth is that most people who play LaCrosse are WHITE, and because of that it’s “OK” to attack this sport.
Same thing with golf, yachting, skiing and hockey.
MultiCulti is the new religion, and those are the SIN sports.
I look at my 15 year old granddaughter when she's concentrating on that stick in her hands....and she's scarey!!!!
At my school, it wasn’t the lacrosse team that had the bad rep. It was the rugby club. Those guys were NUTS. They weren’t thugs, they were just the kind of hard-drinking party animals that loved to shove pianos out of third-story windows and get in random drunken fistfights with each other (then shake hands afterward and buy each other more beer).

Lacrosse was invented by American Indians, so it would seem imprudent to disrespect the sport! But one never knows the bounds of the PC crowd.

This crime had nothing whatsoever to do with lacrosse, or any other sport.
This was a crime of passion, allegedly committed by a person romantically involved with the victim.
The same type crime has happened since the dawn of mankind, and will continue to as long as the human race populates the earth. Usually it rates a two-line mention on page B-17, if that.
The ONLY reason this story made “news” is the lacrosse hook. It gives the MSM an opportunity to get even for the ass-whipping they took after the Duke Lacrosse Frame, when they helped gin up a near-lynching.
That’s all this is, nothing else.
With regard to Duke, the lacrosse guys were the victims.
And this is from a proud hockey player and fanatic!
Lacrosse is Canada’s official National Summer Sport. It was played by the aboriginals, long before Columbus arrived in the new world. Anyone opposed to lacrosse is a therefore a racist. (Just trying out the race card.)

Girls play field hockey, which seems worse.
It is the state sport of Maryland...
It is obviously the “cross” part that they hate. It reminds them of Jesus and Christianity. Thus as a religious sport, it must be banned and its adherents condemned.
Well, she’ll just have to talk that over with Cleveland Browns greatest, Jim Brown.
