Noumenon, This is brilliant.

Tigerized, thanks for sending me the link.

It’s telling that when I was busy being a social sciences undergrad in the mid 70s, who did we study (without any moral context)?

Marx
Engels
Nietzche
Freud
Skinner
Chomsky

No one said a word about the inhumanity or immorality of their theories. And in the absence of that context, they all gained moral legitimacy.

No one said a word about the inhumanity or immorality of their theories.

And no one, virtually one at all ever said a word about the consequences of those monstrous and inhumane ideas. Those few who did were shouted down, ostracized, marginalized, censored and denied tenure and even employment. That fact alone is chilling, because it's the weather vane pointing to the gathering storm.
