Founding Fathers Smiling After Supreme Court Campaign Finance Ruling
*snip*
On January 21, the U.S. Supreme Court handed down its decision in Citizens United v. FEC.
*snip*
The group Citizens United made a documentary about Hillary Clinton during the 2008 campaign. The Federal Election Commission did not allow it to be distributed, and David Bossie, president of Citizens United, decided to fight back.
The case went to the Supreme Court, where former U.S. Solicitor General Ted Olsona living legend among Supreme Court lawyersfought it out against Barack Obamas Justice Department.
During argument, the Obama administrations lawyer, Solicitor General Elena Kagan, made extravagant claims about the extent to which government can censor its critics, outlawing books, movies, and other methods of informing the public.
Olson pushed back hard, pointing to the terrible power that this part of BCRA gives the government against private citizens banding together to speak out during election season.
Elana Kagan would be a disaster for decades. She has no scholarship because she does not believe it matters. There is only the struggle. She believes she has the answers to all of the worlds problems, if only she can get the power. She is Ozero on the Supreme Court.
Strange .. they’re replaying the LTc Lakin
segment on with Anderson Cooper .. RIGHT NOW.
Any ideas why ?
Thanks for the ping. I meant to watch this.
AC is shilling for Barry.
Has it been, ummm, edited?
No ... they played it all and
then had a whole ridicule segment
with Eric Ericson (Red State fraud),
Jeffrey Toobin and Roland Martin.
Wow, on every level, that photo is . . . gross. These three look like they just machine-gunned Vinny’s dinner party across town, then drove the getaway car into the canal.
Obama's nominee for Solicitor General, Elena Kagan, is a radical leftist who fought against the United States' military recruiting and ROTC on America's college and high school campuses - Incredibly, she is being considered for the U.S. Supreme Court
Barack Obama's nominee for Solicitor General, Elena Kagan, is the radical attorney who fought in the federal courts against the legislation introduced by American hero and now deceased Congressman Jerry Solomon, a Korean War veteran, and signed into law by a Democrat president, Bill Clinton, to allow military recruiters to meet with students and to allow the Reserved Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) on campuses around the country. All 9 members of the United States Supreme Court, including the four left-wingers on the court, disagreed with Elena Kagan's arguments against Solomon's law.
The court ruled constitutional the law which stated that schools could refuse military recruiters and the ROTC program on their campuses, but then they would be denied federal funds. Yet, that choice was not good enough for Kagan and she went on her crusade against the military. During a time in history when America is still in two major wars in the Mideast, Obama and his appointees cannot put American military in a weakened position by putting obstacles before military recruiters on high school and college campuses. Additionally, with her extreme left-wing viewpoints, it is extremely doubtful that Kagan will fulfill the duties of the United States Solicitor General; that is to defend the United States Constitution and all federal laws before the United States Supreme Court.
Somehow, Elena Kagan was elevated to become dean of the Harvard Law School. If she is confirmed by the Senate -- with her radical anti-military viewpoints -- she will be in no position to defend the Solomon law in the federal court system or any other law protecting the United States military and the American people. Many analysts believe that if the Senate confirms Kagan, she will immediately be amongst the short list for Obama's first Supreme Court nomination. Now that, would be extremely dangerous to America, especially considering that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had surgery yesteday for her pancreatic cancer.
The majority of Republican Senators have capitulated to Barack Obama on virtually every one of his questionable nominations -- and there have been many -- except for former Senator Tom Daschle, nominated to be Health and Human Services Secretary, who was forced to ask to have his nomination withdrawn this week.
Americans need to call their two Senators immediately at (202)-224-3121 to urge them to vote no on Elena Kagan from becoming America's Solicitor General.
