How do they report something like this and not explain what took place. Did he have chest pain? Is he a diabetic? Did his head cave in, due to “son of an idiot’s disease”?

I was a 43 year old SSgt. Of course I had an 18 year break in service. The age vs rank thing is very different in today's military. So is the interoperation of the various services. Lots of JTF stuff these days. It was a culture shock.

He's a National Guard JAG...neither of which is conducive to rapid promotion. He's swimming in a really small pond and essentially somebody has to retire or die for a slot to open up at the next higher grade.
