In Texas, we call these eastern academic elites..."ignorant."
They all seem to have an aversion to patriotism.

And Wilentz reiterated that, controversies aside, Kagans stellar mind ideally qualifies her for the nomination. Shes not an ideologue; shes very pragmatic, he said. Shes a woman whose ... deepest dedication is to the constitution of the United States. Which some people can think is a terribly radical thing, and some people can think is a terribly reactionary thing, but I think is exactly where she ought to be for the position she is being considered for. He's either incredibly stupid or breathtakingly cynical...either of which disqualifies him from his position.

Americans are more likely to speak of a golden past than of a golden future, of capitalisms glories than of socialisms greatness, she wrote in her thesis. Conformity overrides dissent; the desire to conserve has overwhelmed the urge to alter. Such a state of affairs cries out for explanation.
She called the story of the socialist movements demise a sad but also a chastening one for those who, more than half a century after socialisms decline, still wish to change America ... In unity lies their only hope. Soooooo, she is a communist.
I'm stunned. Absolutely speechless I tell ya.

As I said, her sympathy towards socialism and her hostility towards the military ( as evidenced by her support for banning military ROTC and recruitment on Harvard Campus) should be the front of interrogation.

I question Wilentz credibility. How does he know so much about Kagan? For a college senior thesis advisor he sure claims to know much more about her than one would expect for simply explaining to her what was required for the thesis. You would think during his advising time she provided him with a complete bibliography of herself. How does he know she is pragmatic or an ideologue? I mean she was just a college senior and at that time never had to make career or personal life choices. I take Wilentz's opinion very lightly!

So if I question who you associate with then you might think I’m what a racist, anti-Semite, sexist, a homophobe? I don’t think that is what the brother meant by his statement at all. That’s like saying if I don’t agree with or support Obozo then I must be a racist. Bull feathers! I don’t like his principles, politics, or his relentless critical impulse toward American social, economic, and political institutions, traditions, and values. You get that way going to Harvard, I’d much rather my kids and grandkids go to East Mississippi State.

post of the week!!!!
"To sum up: We have a self-important, radical, vociferous, anti-military lesbian who has sheltered her entire adult life in an ivory tower and laments that the left just isnt left enough. But were supposed to believe that shes mainstream because her fellow lefter left friends in academia assure us of it while at the same time they piss down our backs and remark on the rainy weather."
