Scientists tag animals to monitor their behavior and keep track of endangered species. Now some futurists are asking whether all of mankind should be tagged too. Looking for a loved one? Just Google his microchip.
The chips, called radio frequency identification (RFID) tags, emit a simple radio signal akin to a bar code, anywhere, anytime. Futurists say they can be easily implanted under the skin on a person’s arm.
Already, the government of Mexico has surgically implanted the chips, the size of a grain of rice, in the upper arms of staff at the attorney general’s office in Mexico City. The chips contain codes that, when read by scanners, allow access to a secure building, and prevent trespassing by drug lords.
In research published in the International Journal of Innovation and Sustainable Development, Taiwanese researchers postulate that the tags could help save lives in the aftermath of a major earthquake. "Office workers would have their identity badges embedded in their RFID tags, while visitors would be given temporary RFID tags when they enter the lobby," they suggest. Similarly, identity tags for hospital staff and patients could embed RFID technology.
“Our world is becoming instrumented,” IBM’s chairman and CEO, Samuel J. Palmisano said at an industry conference last week. “Today, there are nearly a billion transistors per human, each one costing one ten-millionth of a cent. There are 30 billion radio RFID tags produced globally.”

No need to implant chips. 99.9% of people voluntarily carry a dozen chips in their cell phones, blackberries and wallets.
I, for one, do not think Obama is the AC. I think the AC will be able to string more than 2 coherent sentences together without the use of a teleprompter. I do however think he is AN Anti-Christ.

That was one of the biggest mysteries of all. How could one man become so popular so fast as to set him self up as God in a short 3 ½ years. Mystery no more. I am not saying Obama is the Antichrist, but his coming from nowhere in such a short time to become a Godhead among his Koolaid drinking followers that spread beyond our borders, is just too strange. It shows you how fast the real Antichrist can enter the World Stage. Especially if there is a world-wide calamity like say, millions of people disappearing...planes dropping from the sky, freeways blocked – world wide panic setting off the Great Tribulation.

In the 1970’s when I first studied prophecy the thought of using a debit card almost anyplace, including vending machines and parking lots seems just too far out. Yea, someday way off into the future. Well the future is here. Today I go weeks without paper money or coin. I can probably can go without it all together, if it wasn’t for the coffee kitty at work. To wave your hand over a scanner is not that big of a leap now. The technology is now here.
I know this goes against conventional thought that the anti-Christ is a person, but my personal belief is that the anti-Christ has been here since 1917, and it is Communism.
Obama may simply be paving the way for the real deal. Like slipping slowly into the swimming pool to get acclimated to the water's temperature, Obama may be gradually conditioning society and the world for the arrival of the true anti-christ.

The mortal head wound he recovers from, the Abomination of Desolation where he sits in the Temple, and when he is thrown into the pit with the false witness and Satan. I think he will be a real person. A counterfeit in every way to the one and only Christ - spirit and body.
One tag could be used to turn off car brakes or stop an ATM machine from working - or reject grocery store purchases

Yes, but it may be symbolic language. If you look at Communism, it does fit the bill. It’s philosophy is the opposite of Christianity’s..Man is central and Man can only save himself. It has an active hatred towards Christianity. Communists like Antonio Gramsci have stated that the only thing preventing Communism from taking hold in Man’s heart is Christianity.
Richard Wurmbrand, a pastor who was imprisoned and tortured in Communist Romania wrote a book called Marx and Satan and argued that Marx was a Satanist and communism was born in hell. He describes disturbing things his captors made him and other Christian prisoners do regarding Communion ritual that I won’t write here. he stated that it was totally unnecessary and was done with vile hatred towards Christ.

There is a green earth charter 'ark' that has been made to be a copy or a replacement of the Ark of the Covenant. I know everybody thinks the Abomination will be a statue of the Antichrist, but the Bible doesn't say what the abomination will be exactly. Somehow, I don't think God will approve of this Earth Ark in the Holy of Holies. This would also tie in with the Communism/Green/Socalism/Liberal meme.

The situation with the European Union at this very moment is getting ugly, and these countries are blaming us for their economic downturns. Case in point-—our currency right now is near worthless because the United States is technically bankrupt with the numbers in the trillions. What would fix the situation more adequately than to enact a world currency system that is activated by scanning your right hand or forehead for any transaction?

Good point; there’s a coworker of mine that has told me the same thing. But look how the world has embraced Obama, almost throwing rose petals at his feet when he visits. It says in the Bible, “Who is like the Beast? Who is able to make war with him?” He masquerades as a Christian, but the fruit of his tree stinks of Islam.

From my read of it, the mark of the beast also means a promise of allegiance to the beast, and not just some kind of barcode or mere ID device. An implantable device, by itself, I don’t think fits the bill. I think “receiving the mark” is also an active decision to turn away from God and ally with the beast.
In other words... I don’t think you’ll be able to do it without knowing what it means.
The Bible says that many will be caused to be killed because they will not accept the Mark of the Beast; either they will die from starvation or they will be executed by the image of the Beast, who will cause as many as will not receive the mark to be killed. The book of Revelation goes on to talk about people being beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus. Beheading is a Muslim way of dealing with those they punish for refusing to submit to Islamic Law. Obama plainly sides with Islam, and has his summits mainly with Arab nations and groups (such as Hamas) who are vicious enemies of the United States.
I have had to prepare myself for the fact that the Mark of the Beast may arrive before the Rapture of the Church, and that I will lay my life down for Christ. The alternative is Hell and eternal separation from God. I pray that all Christians are preparing themselves for this possibility.
The Bible specifically states that the “Mark” will be placed either in the forehead or on the right hand of the individual. Even though you can be tracked with your cell phone and credit cards, the actual Mark will be a biometric chip implanted under the skin. I think at some point all cell phone service will being going satellite, as there will never be enough towers built to support all the service. Credit cards and cash money will be eliminated and you will have a line of credit attached to the Mark.
These are comforting words that tell us we are not appointed to God's wrath. We will be taken out of the way before the anti-christ is revealed. Rest on God's promises. Maranatha!
