Political Correctness: While New York City OKs construction of a "monster mosque" at ground zero, the feds pay rent to a D.C. mosque tied to the Pentagon attack. Have we gone totally soft?
Imagine on the 10th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, we let the Japanese erect a cultural center at the site of that attack. Exactly. It would never happen.
So why are Manhattan officials bowing to demands by a group called the American Society for Muslim Advancement to open on of all days, Sept. 11, 2011 a 13-story shrine to Islam in the shadow of the beautiful skyscrapers terrorists turned to ashes in the name of Islam? Why aren't they suggesting they do their Islamic "advancement" someplace else? Why of all places there?
Aren't officials at least curious why these supposedly "patriotic" Muslim activists named their planned $100 million mosque after the Great Mosque of Cordoba a legacy of Muslim Spain representing the zenith of Islamic dominance?
There may be nothing to it except that a radical Islamic school in Virginia, raided by the feds after 9/11, also goes by that name. Cordoba University's founder was recently named an unindicted co-conspirator in a terror case. Symbolism is not lost on such jihadists.
New Yorkers should by now have built from that giant hole at ground zero a single, mammoth tower as a one-finger salute to radical Islam and all the terrorists it inspires. Instead, they're building an Islamic tower that Muslim fanatics from around the world will no doubt use as a memorial to their fallen "martyrs" and what they did to us on that "blessed day" of 9/11.
"It's a slap in our face!" said Nelly Braginsky, whose son Alexander was murdered on 9/11.

NY is shameful it is a foreign country as far as I see it, with the UN their leaders.
I am convinced that the bulk of what we call the 'Western world' would rather see themselves destroyed, or commit suicide -- than to be accused of being a 'racist'. Whether its protecting one's borders, or engaging in statistical profiling techniques, or just declaring that there are some aspects of cultural diversity that we just don't want to 'celebrate' (e.g., 'female circumcision'; degradation of women; face coverings when taking a Driver's license picture; ... oh heck, almost anything islam) - the Western world would rather acquiesce than be labeled with the dreaded 'R' word...
So, you are okay with that? Have you forgotten 9/11?
I bet he never forgets that
I see that leaves you cold. Have you forgotten 9/11
It took 410 days to build the Empire State Building in 1931.
And we still have a hole at Ground Zero.
That’s the real disgrace here.
I remember 9/11 and believe in the First Amendment and Property Rights.
I see you take great comfort in the Constitution as a suicide pact.
>>I remember 9/11 and believe in the First Amendment and Property Rights<<
I believe war memorials trump property rights of our enemies.
It is indeed
I am not clear on seperation of church and state laws in regards to taxpayer money being used to pay rent to a building owned by a mosque?
So, a baptist, methodist, etc church that owned a building could rent it to the govt?
