Chicago City Council Resolution against Arizona SB1070
self ^ | May 18 2010 | Rosanna Pulido

Posted on 05/18/2010 11:19:32 AM PDT by chicagolady

I was born and raised in Chicago. It has come to the point that anyone who lives here in Illinois is deemed a fool. If we walk down memory lane we could talk about all of the governors who went to jail, and if you live in Chicago with King Richard as mayor you have come to despise anything that looks like a Politician.

The Chicago City Council is full of Radical Hispanic alderman most of them double as Mexican Citizens. They have dual citizen ship. Mayor Daley has surrounded himself with these people and the Illinois taxpayer foots the bill for all of this Radical Latino, Pro-open borders anarchy.

The inmates run the asylum ( I know I am not telling you anything new)

Well The Chicago City council and our Illinois General Assembly has found the time to take a break from their usual Criminal activity to DENOUNCE Arizona.

Of course they can not manage their own affairs and Illinois is the laughing stock of the nation, but oh what the heck. These folks are SHAMELESS. Oh and Don't forget, this is Obamaland.

Dammit, let’s get Virginia on that list, too. We don’t want corrupt Chicago thugs around here.

Sorry Rosanna, but this just gives me reason to not drive into Chicago. I’ll go anywhere else (well, mostly...) in Illinois but...

Think they`ll boycott California too ?

Section 834b in the California Penal Code:

http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/displaycode?section=pen&group=00001-01000&file=833-851.90

(a) Every law enforcement agency in California shall fully cooperate with the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service regarding any person who is arrested if he or she is suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws. (b) With respect to any such person who is arrested, and suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws, every law enforcement agency shall do the following:

(1) Attempt to verify the legal status of such person as a citizen of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted as a permanent resident, an alien lawfully admitted for a temporary period of time or as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of immigration laws. The verification process may include, but shall not be limited to, questioning the person regarding his or her date and place of birth, and entry into the United States, and demanding documentation to indicate his or her legal status.

(2) Notify the person of his or her apparent status as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws and inform him or her that, apart from any criminal justice proceedings, he or she must either obtain legal status or leave the United States.

(3) Notify the Attorney General of California and the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service of the apparent illegal status and provide any additional information that may be requested by any other public entity. (c) Any legislative, administrative, or other action by a city, county, or other legally authorized local governmental entity with jurisdictional boundaries, or by a law enforcement agency, to prevent or limit the cooperation required by subdivision (a) is expressly prohibited.

Now the alder-units can retire to their illegal cleaned suburban homes, get a tall one from the illegal houseboy and relax by the illegal maintained pool while they bask in the glow of their moral righteousness.

“No, they haven’t read the bill either.”

I heard that 0 has told his minions to NOT READ 1070 so they can feign ignorance when dealing with it. This ploy is designed to hopefully, float the issue past the time it is news.

Carter insured that Georgia would likely never have another president. Hopefully, Obroma will have done the same for Illinois.

No wonder the formerly great city of Chicago is such a mess.

Council fiddles while Chitown burns.

What pandering idiots

I hope this resolution will cause a conservative to run for alderman, in each ward, during the Feb. 2011 election.

Outside of Rosanna, I question whether there is such a thing as a conservative Chicago politician...

AZ should charter daily buses to Chicago.
Free one way tickets for anyone fearful they might be asked for a Green Card or Visa.

They can take those two resolutions and shove them where the sun doesn’t shine! Is that any clearer?

What if 20 or more folks went over to where some of these alderpersons live. Brought along with some lawn chairs and a picnic basket sat in their front and back yards and decided to have a picnic, and when needed demand to use their toilet. Think they’d get the idea about what a border is and does ? (no I don’t suggest doing that it’s a metaphor)

I keep tellin you guys the only way the word is going to get out is to paper precincts with the truth.
Can anybody conjure up a simple summary of both the Fed and the AZ bills then use pdf links to both for verification. But make it printable on 1 page

Rosanna please keep this alive. Could you repost using that idea with links and the city council vote ?

I know a conservative politician who lives in downtown Chicago, Bill Kelly, who ran for comptroller, in the 2010 primary. He was an executive director of National Taxpayers Union of Illinois. He’s anti-illegal alien, pro-life, and pro-gun rights. He’ll probably run for an office, in 2011 or ‘12.

What wasn't clear was to whom you addressed your "Shove it!" statement. chicagolady or these two resolutions. Thanks for clearing that up.

From this link....

US Immigration Law Enforcement by Local Agencies

In 2002, the Department of Justice's Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) issued an extremely important legal opinion explaining that state and local police officers have the inherent authority to arrest illegal aliens and transfer them to federal custody, regardless of whether the aliens have committed criminal or civil violations of immigration law. U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft announced the conclusion of that OLC opinion in June 2002. However, the full opinion was only made available to the public as a result of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. The local arrest authority recognized in this opinion is a critical component of immigration enforcement. Read the full opinion (PDF).
