I get it now...
He was a fan of “Der Untergand”, and wanted his own scale replica of the Furherbunker...

There was a guy in Chicago who built a nuclear bunker under his house and did a much better job.

Well, 19 IS a prime number. Likely dangerous just because of that.
Also those batteries and acetylene and O2 are unexpected.

Not to smart of a survivalist. From looking at the pictures, it looks like if a garbage truck drove by too quickly, it would all cave in. If that doesn’t kill him, a good rainstorm would flood it or the fumes from those batteries would get him.

Other than building codes, what exactly did he do that was illegal?
Being stupid isn’t a crime.

Strange, a similar case was reported in Yuma AZ. It was also three levels deep with an unknown function.

All i can tell he did wrong was it wasn't permitted.
that neighbor sounded like an id10t.
"things could of exploded"
What like a car battery or welding tanks that are usually used in small areas like a garage.
I don't see the big deal in this. other then him not communicating in good relations with his neighbors.

Code violations? Why that dirdy bird... (in my best Indian accent...)
This does sound problematic, but I think they’re over-blowing it considerably.
