John McCain gets serious about primary (McCain fights J.D. harder than he fought Obama)

Arizona Republicans say GOP Sen. John McCain’s recent staff shake-up is an acknowledgment of the seriousness of his Aug. 24 primary challenge — a contest in which he remains a clear — but nervous — front-runner.

While recent polls have shown McCain with a double-digit lead over former Rep. J.D. Hayworth, in an election year in which one Senate incumbent has already been taken down and several others are facing stiff primary opposition, the departure of two top campaign officials — campaign manager Shiree Verdone and deputy manager Mike Hellon — is being viewed as proof that McCain recognizes that he faces the most serious threat of his 30-year Senate career.

What percentage does McCain leads by today? Does JD have a good chance to win from this Rino?

Proving nothing more than politburo members value their seat in the politburo than they do their country.

C’mon Arizonians. This guy is a fraud. Don’t buy his B.S. For another 6 years. He has done enough damage to the country and to the party. It’s time for him to join a quilting club at the local YMCA.

John’s ego will not allow him to give it up. In other words, he now cares for himself FIRST.

John, we care about you and we care about this nation as well. Retire. Let us care for the latter. Your job is done; so are you.

I hope the good people in Arizona see through this fraud McCain and all of the good-old-boy establishment that is working hard to put him back in office.

WE’RE TIRED OF POLITICS AS USUAL.

Good point, he is fighting harder in this primary than he did for the presidency.

Unfortunately, the dopes in Az will probably re nominate him. He and his buddy Graham will be free to roam the halls of cooperation for another 4-6 years.

Yeah, I’m biting my nails on this race. It’s too important, not just to Arizona - but to the rest of us as well. Anyone that cannot see that Juan HATES conservatives, and only pretends to be one at election time is an outright idiot.

McCain's in trouble. I suspect his own polling shows the race close, with his support "soft" whereas JD's is rock solid, rabid....the momentum in the last weeks will tell the tail

BTW..GREAT homr page...

McCain dominated the Greta show last night. Is Fox News giving JD fair and balanced time?

The lengthy interview of Juan showed that once again he's the media's darling.

There's no doubt that he has one of the most earnest, sincere and slick lines of BS than any other political hack living. The AZ voters will swallow his orations sure as shooting. I have no doubt whatsoever.

The media will continue to give him all the air time in the world to expound in this campaign.....just like it did throughout his career ( except when he ran for president when they threw him under the bus in favor of Obama, hah ).

Easy to figure: If he loses this time, he’ll be unemployed. Last time, he still had a job after losing.

Well, if you want call being a Senator having a job, that is.

The “double digit” lead in BS Dem polls like Daily Kos and another one. The Dem media is trying to save McStain. This race is close.
