I have to wonder where they will find their volunteers for the study using terminolgy like “blasting...the testes”. Makes me hurt just to think about it.

And how do they control length of effectiveness? Approximately 6 months is a little on the vague side. Who would fund such research? I think we know the answer to that question.

Waaaait a second. If Ultrasound can render sperm inactive (Or possibly Dead) for 6 months at a time with 1 or 2 treatments...

... Then what is an ultrasound doing to a baby in utero ? I thought it was perfectly safe ?

Why?

Sound has been a proven contraceptive for eons

Female nagging has been proven since the begining of time as a proven method of birth control.

It is sound waves, not radiation.

Indeed... But Sperm is a single cell. Shutting them down, either temporary (Which isn’t the case) or killing them “For a while” shows that ultrasound DOES affect cellular generation, lifespan and function.

Babies in Utero DO produce brainwaves, nervous and circulatory functions. Could ultrasounds be playing a role in increased childhood maladies ? Autism even ?

Um... lessee... I think the idea was "Blasts of ultrasound can disable or kill human cells (sperm)... an uborn baby is composed of (his own) human cells... therefore I wonder if ultrasound could disrupt, injure or kill, an unborn baby..? Say, at the embryonic stage?

Seems a reasonable question to me.

N.O.W. This is the answer to their dreams. ;-)

The only down side so far, is a guy’s voice goes up one and a half octives.

The up side? The testes take one full year to drop off. ;-0
