Flight was Jet Blue 860.

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/JBU860

He was going to plant the weapons on the flight for a follow-up terrorist attack on the next flight on the same plane.

Or he was going to transfer the weapons to terrorist collaborators in the Boston air terminal.

Good work by the TSA.

Does anyone know how to find out the destination of this plane after it landed in Boston? Was it going to NYC?

You were saying ...

But I never thought the A-10 flight simulator on my laptop for entertainment could be considered a threat...

You know ... years ago (well before 9/11), I used to crash my plane (in my Flight Simulator) into the World Trade Building in New York, just for the heck of it ... LOL ...

Nowadays, I wouldn't dare do it, even on my computer, for fear that Obama would declare me a terrorist ... :-)

Well, if you've only learned to fly straight or into buildings, and have no interest in learning to land the aircraft ........

ROP = Religion of Peace. Others have invented much more descriptive titles for Muslims but I want to keep it clean and socially acceptable.

More:

Pol was waiting to be assigned a public defender. Detention and bail hearings were scheduled for Friday.

The U.S. attorney’s office in San Juan said Pol was originally from Mayaguez in western Puerto Rico but now lives in Rhode Island. It did not release his hometown in Rhode Island.

DULLES CBP ARRESTS ALLEGED BOLIVIAN IMPOSTOR WITH PUERTO RICO BIRTH CERTIFICATE
CBP.gov - Newsroom - News Release ^ | May 12, 2010 | n/a
Posted on May 15, 2010 1:32:14 AM PDT by Cindy

Sterling, Va., - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a Bolivian man at Washington-Dulles International Airport on Thursday on allegations that he was an impostor pretending to be a U.S. citizen.

Officers arrested Juan Condori Sejas, 51, after he attempted to use a Puerto Rico birth certificate and a U.S. Social Security Card to acquire a Customs seal on his Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport employee ID. A Customs seal allows bearers access to restricted security areas.

“Customs and Border Protection officers are proficient at detecting fraudulent identity documents and suspected that the birth certificate that Conderi Sejas possessed is a fake,” said Christopher Hess, CBP port director for the Port of Washington, D.C. “This expertise is a significant deterrent to keeping illegal aliens, narco-traffickers and terrorists away from airport employment positions that could facilitate the smuggling of humans, weapons, currency or narcotics into the United States, and it helps to keep airline passengers safe.”

During routine questioning, Condori Sejas allegedly claimed to have crossed the U.S. border with Mexico in 2006 without CBP inspection and that he purchased the birth certificate and social security card from a human trafficker.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia is prosecuting Condori Sejas for immigration fraud.

CBP placed a detainer on Condori Sejas, who will likely be removed from the United States should he be convicted. Foreign nationals who violate U.S. immigration law may be barred from returning to the U.S. for a period of no less than five years.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of our nation’s borders at and between the official ports of entry. CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.

Man Arrested For Attempting to Carry Dangerous Weapons On An Aircraft

SAN JUAN, P.R., May 19 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — A complaint was filed late yesterday against Jose Pol for attempting to carry dangerous weapons on an aircraft, Rosa Emilia Rodriguez-Velez, U.S. Attorney for the District of Puerto Rico, announced today. The defendant, who was going to board Jet Blue flight number 860, departing from Carolina, P.R., to Boston, was carrying a stun gun, a pepper spray canister, four box cutters and a switch blade knife.

Pol was in line to pass through the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) check point at the Luis Munoz Marin Airport in Carolina, P.R. The defendant was carrying two pieces of luggage, one containing a laptop and the other containing items which could be used to threaten, incapacitate, harm, injure or cause the death of the security personnel on board the aircraft, and/or endanger the lives of the crew members and passengers on board the flight.

The TSA Officer asked the defendant to accompany him to the TSA security office. Pol voluntarily went and waited in the room until FBI agents arrived and took custody of him.

In the early days of Microsoft Flight Simulator, the default starting place was Meigs Field (now trashed and stolen by Chicago). One of my favorite things was turning on the smoke trail, and seeing how tight a donut I could make around the Sears Tower in Chicago...

I don't recall going to NY (that Cessna was s-l-o-w) but I do remember circling the VAB and the Shuttle on its pad at Cape Canaveral (Kennedy MSFC).

AFAIK, that Cessna is still sitting at the refueling station on Martha's Vineyard (or is it Nantucket?)...... '-)
