Breaking News: We Win in PA-12!‏ (DCCC Title of email)

Congratulations to Congressman-elect Mark Critz on his extraordinary victory. Voters in this election responded to Mark Critz's commitment to providing independent leadership that puts Pennsylvania jobs first.

This was the only race in the country today where a Democrat faced off against a Republican and the results are clear. Mark Critz focused on creating jobs for middle class families, while Republicans practiced the politics of fear and distortion.

For all of their bluster about building a national wave this year, including RNC Chairman Michael Steele's guarantee of victory for Tim Burns, Republican policies were once again rejected when it came time to face the voters.

I am so grateful to you our grassroots supporters for all you did as well as former President Bill Clinton, Vice President Joe Biden, and Democratic leaders in the House, Senate, and state governorships for their strong support and tireless work on behalf of Mark Critz.

With Mark Critz's commitment to creating jobs, ending tax breaks for companies that outsource jobs, and standing up for seniors and middle class Pennsylvanians, Congressman-elect Mark Critz will be a great asset to our Democratic Caucus and a worthy successor to the late Congressman Jack Murtha.

Thank you again for all you did to help make this possible!

Onward to November,

Chris Van Hollen Chris Van Hollen DCCC Chairman

I get these email from DCCC for some reason. Maybe I got drunk and registered.

I love the line that says this is the only election that a republican and democrat were running against each other and the democrat won.

Holy cow. When the real contest is over we shall see who "won".

I hope the left understands that we are also cheering.

Let’s see. The Democrats wants to raise taxes through a VAT. They have HUGH deficits that they can’t control. They’ve passed a massive entitlement program that will adversely affect every American. They’re out to pass Cap-n-Trade. They’re for illegals and will fight law abiding citizens. Because of these issues, all they’ll do this fall is attack and attack.

And YET enough people are so stupid to believe Democrats when they say they are for job creation.

Chortle!
Critz campaigned on a pro life, pro gun, anti cap and trade, and most of all, anti-0bamcare platform. That “win” is a stinging rebuke for 0bama and the Democrats and portends a massive defeat for the Democrats in November

doesn’t sound to me that he ran against obamacare ....

Critz statement on the passage of health care reform

Congressional candidate Mark Critz released the following statement on the passage of health care reform legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives last night.

“No hardworking Western Pennsylvania family should be a diagnosis away from bankruptcy. We need health insurance reform but it must be done in a way that is consistent with our values. While this bill represents significant progress in reforming our broken healthcare system, there were flaws that would’ve kept me from supporting it. This bill was too expensive, particularly because the $940 billion price tag didn’t include the Medicare doctor fix that would prevent reimbursement cuts to physicians who treat Medicare beneficiaries. In Congress I’ll work to fix this bill because this issue is too important. I’ll work hard to strengthen and improve this legislation because that is what’s best for Western Pennsylvania.”

He wants to “fix” it .... not repeal it.

I think he will be just like Murtha was in office

Maybe Republicans should start campaigning like Rush Limbaugh. A lot more of them would get elected.

The Rats are hanging their hats on this outcome in the delusional belief that it is a harbinger of things to come in November, completely ignoring the fact that Johnstown/12 is a heavily democratic district with strong union ties and lots of Murtha-bequeathed federal pork.

Never mind that he ran to the right of Rush Limbaugh to do it.

Democrats never keep their campaign lies anyway.
