!!BOYCOTT NEW MEXICO!! Uh, wait...

Doesn’t this sound kinda like what Arizona intends to do? So, why all the hoopla over Arizona? California too has similar laws on the books. Seems to me there’s a whole lot of boycotting that could be going on in addition to Arizona.

Do I need a /sarc tag for this?

screening policy will prevent criminals who don't belong on the streets from reoffending.

For a few weeks (days?), anyhow, until INS turns them loose with a suggestion that they appear at a hearing or until they wet right back across the border after "deportation."

It is most definitely PROFILING and highly discriminatory. They are only doing it to arrestees and only because of their status in that group.

Believe me you don’t need a reason NOT to come to New Mexico. ;-)

Some years ago, the wife and I thought Las Cruces would be a nice spot to live in. But looking into NM politics changed that opinion. Beautiful state, but screwed up politically from what I’ve seen. I already have that in Illinois. Why change?

“PROFILING works way to go Az”

Albuquerque ain’t much, but it is in New Mexico. You most likely just manage to insult people in two states! ;-)
