Mexicans place a significant amount of blame for the Mexican drug war on American gun dealers. Eighty-one percent of Mexican adults say American gun dealers are very or somewhat responsible for the problem, compared to 54 percent of Americans who say the same," says a Harris poll of 1,009 U.S. adults and 549 Mexican adults conducted May 5 to 9.

Didn't examination of the actual guns reveal they were mostly from elsewhere? Wasn't it a Lefty lie from the beginning?

Seems to me the cause of the Mexican Drug War is primarily due to American drug users.

Seems to me that if the Mexicans didn’t buy the guns, they wouldn’t have this trouble, now would thay?

They are all from here, every single one. I make them in my garage, and I’m going to keep doing it. I know I’m sick, but I just can’t stop.

The only way to keep them out of the wrong hands is to close the border now.

Its a lie. And the Mexican government knows its a lie.

Mexican mafia are packing machine guns, hand grenades, and bazookas. They are not getting those from the Brownsville Walmart.

We’ve had many many episodes of Mexican military crossing the border in apparent support of smuggling operations. So if mafia gunmen are packing military hardware, there is another possible source a little closer to home.

It is also Mexico’s duty to secure its border.

The other lie is that Mexico has lost all control of their northern towns and cities. The mexican army was attacked by the narco army a couple of weeks ago in broad daylight. 8 separate army bases were hit at the same time. That takes cajones or they know the Mexican army is weak enough to take them on. The military gun battles are being fought with military weapons, not hunting rifles from Walmart. In some cases the drug gangs have better weapons than the army. And these battles are happening within yards of the border on the south side of the border. For now. Point is that there is a small scale war going on in Northern Mexico for control over that part of the country and our leaders seem to be comfortable to do nothing about it. It will take someone “important” being affected by this for anything to be done by dc.

No.

Drug addicts and drug dealers are the problem and the American and Mexican governments for not closing the borders.

I can see the Brady Bunch jumping on this bandwagon, along with the Methodist Church, the Episcopalian Church, the Catholic Church, the Presbyterian Church, etc. etc.

The weapons being used by the Drug cartels are NOT SEMI-AUTOS which are sold in the US. They are using full automatics, grenade launchers, grenades, which are totally illegal in the US. They need to look to the south, and the Panama Canal which is managed by the Chicoms

They’ve secured the southern one just fine. Perhaps they have used all their resources there. As a good neighbor, we should help them with the northern one.

You know in further thought ... I would not be surprised if the weapons are being requisitioned thru the Mexican Army paid for by US assistance funds ...

NOW THAT should be the focus of a Congressional Hearing.. But don't hold your breath ..

They don’t want the northern border secured. Besides the drug money, they get more than $20 billion a year from Mexicans in the US sending money back home. This is more than they get in oil revenue.

re: Mexicans in the US sending money back home

I don’t know for sure, and am too lazy to look it up, but I would be you dollars to donuts that the money being sent back from the US is biggest single cash cow for Mexico. I would also think that a lot more is sent back than we know about. Add to that the money made from the drug trade and it surely makes it the biggest component of their economy.

Those infantile Mexicans will blame anything but themselves. Their country has been FUBAR for 500 years since the Spanish arrived and was even more so under indigenous rule. Nothing there will ever change.

I suppose our evil American guns just jumped off the dealer shelves and scampered down the street all the way to Mexico and swam the river. Then they loaded themselves with the ammo that tagged along, rose up by themselves and shot some poor innocent children. Oh, the inhumanity of those inanimate objects!
