I”m on my iPad right now and I don”t miss Flash one bit....
Answer: not many.
It's not as if the multitouch GUI hasn't been around for, oh, three years. It's not as if there aren't alternatives such as HTML5. It's not as if Adobe itself doesn't embrace HTML5.
Tempest in a teapot, cooked up by FUDsters grasping at any straw to slow down the iPad phenomenon while they figure out how to jump on the bandwagon, belatedly. Cooked up by Adobe itself, such a disinterested party, lol.
Phhhffttt.
Guess they could e-mail Steve Jobs and ask him to help a sister out! It worked on the no-cash-credit-cards-only Apple Store sales policy. Then again, probably not on this since Jobs has publicly dissed the Adobe application.
Chuckle!
HTML 5?
When did HTML 5 become as mature or as good as Flash is? Not to mention Flash is supported on vastly more web sites than HTML5 is. You don't even have HTML5 on Hulu for crying out loud.

Don't worry about it.
By the end of this year, Android tablets will be outselling Apple's iPads anyway, and the Android tablets will have Flash. I bet Google is very happy Apple is throwing a hissy fit with Adobe over Flash.
The best thing could have happened to Android was Steve Job's nasty, public fight with Adobe over Flash. It's gonna make the upcoming Android tablet computers (with Android 2.2 and Flash) very easy to sell. In business, you never waste a good crisis.
You’ve just proved that this is all about trying to play catch-up.
Put a drag on Apple, while competitors cook up some Johnny-Come-Lately cobbled-together kludge.
Business as usual, in other words.
How may iPhone “killers” have there been? How many iTunes “killers” have there been?
What is there, other than vaporware, CGI “prototypes” and flops, to be the iPad “killer?”
What would the rest of the industry do, without Apple to rip off?
Wrong.
Its all about consumer choice, and ideas fighting it out in a competitive free market.
“Put a drag on Apple, while competitors cook up some Johnny-Come-Lately cobbled-together kludge”
No one is putting a drag on anybody. Apple CHOSE not to support Flash. Google is chosing to support Flash on Andriod. Google would be foolisgh not to exploit Apple's hubris, to sell as many Andriod tablets as they can. It's business.
“How may iPhone killers have there been?”
Anriod has already overtaken the iPhine in the US.

Why don't you watch what happens in the next couple of months and see eh?

Tablets have been around for over 10 years.
Both the Microsoft Courier and the HP tablet were demo's in online videos long before the iPad came out.
Apple never invented the tablet computer.
>> Apple never invented the tablet computer.
No, but even you have to admit Apple was the first to name a tablet after a sanitary napkin.
iPad is a 1GHz single core computer with 256MB of RAM and 64GB hard drive, none of which can be upgraded.
