That caller needs to get off drugs, or is just making it up. They tow cars a lot (not really part of the regular NYPD), and frankly are real heroes going after violent criminals in the bad parts of town. But stopping on the street for ID? Someone "misspoke."
Questions on Calderon
Why is it our fault that his people shoot each other to death?
Why is it our fault that he cannot find work for millions of his citizens?
Why is it our fault that he resides over a medieval serfdom that diminishes the lives of millions and forces him to illegally instruct them to enter our country, so that his country can receive foreign dollars and his trespassing citizens can enjoy American health and education benefits.
Why is it that we have to pay for the education of illegals when our own citizenry are not being adequately educated?
Why is it the we have black teenage unemployment in the 30% range and yet we have to depend on illegal aliens to fill construction, gardening, restaurant, warehouse and every other unskilled labor requirement? Why doesnt anyone mention this - that two problems should be solved simultaneously?
Why is it after one hundred years, since the inception of the word wetback which entered the written lexicon in 1920, that hordes of unskilled, illiterate Mexicans continue to illegally enter the United States, through recession and through depression, through boom and bust, generation upon generation and no one, virtually no one asks, why is Mexico so wrong and America so right? What is it that America does so exceptionally well that the Mexicans cannot seem to emulate? Have they no resources like oil and gas? Have they no verdant fields upon which to grow, have they no thousands of miles of coastline, have they enough labor to accomplish anything, have they no ability to teach people, have they no law upon which to build a nation? Why is it that they continually fail, that everything they touch turns to waste? Why is it that their propagandists claim the American southwest was stolen from them and no American makes the obvious response - well if you did have it, it would only be an extension of the human destroying, poverty inducing serfdom that you live in, so thank God America had it - where else could you run to? Cuba?
If this continues to snowball, it’s going to be heap big medicine come November. Just how many states is Obama willing to declare war on? Just how many Americans is he prepared to thumb his nose at? Just how many laws is he willing to refuse to enforce?
This is really great. States standing up to an oppressive federal government against health care mandates, firearm sales restrictions and now illegal immigration. This will surely nationalize the November elections at the state and federal levels. The theme will obviously be a federal government gone rogue and out of bounds.
The American people are tired of being asked to pay more in taxes, while illegals can freely ignore the law.
Second class citizens, yes that would be the US native born and naturalized Americans forced to comply with mandates and laws. No more!
You’re welcome. Happy to be of some help. As a Californian I am livid that this state does not follow/enforce its own laws!
We won’t sweat the paragraphs. Thanks a bunch. California Penal Code, section 834. Fantastic! Yes, this is exactly the post of which I was thinking. I’m no lawyer, but I’d guess that anyone that violates the Penal Code is a criminal. Small wonder this thing is not being talked about. This thing needs to br brought into the light.
834b. (a) Every law enforcement agency in California shall fully cooperate with the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service regarding any person who is arrested if he or she is suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws.
(b) With respect to any such person who is arrested, and suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws, every law enforcement agency shall do the following:
(1) Attempt to verify the legal status of such person as a citizen of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted as a permanent resident, an alien lawfully admitted for a temporary period of time or as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of immigration laws. The verification process may include, but shall not be limited to, questioning the person regarding his or her date and place of birth, and entry into the United States, and demanding documentation to indicate his or her legal status.
(2) Notify the person of his or her apparent status as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws and inform him or her that, apart from any criminal justice proceedings, he or she must either obtain legal status or leave the United States.
(3) Notify the Attorney General of California and the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service of the apparent illegal status and provide any additional information that may be requested by any other public entity.
(c) Any legislative, administrative, or other action by a city, county, or other legally authorized local governmental entity with jurisdictional boundaries, or by a law enforcement agency, to prevent or limit the cooperation required by subdivision (a) is expressly prohibited.
That’s the way I read it. Problem is...who can we get to take this to heart and enforce? Democrats most assuredly will not. Republicans are too few (in the state legislature) to even bring it up. Can ‘We The People’ do anything to push this? Any ideas out there?
Well, I fired off letters to my Senator and Assemblyman who are both Repubs. We’ll see if I get a response from either of them.
“Many dont realize it but the first thing she did when she became governor was tell the SEIU thugs to take a hike and to leave Arizona state employees alone.”
I didn’t know that...very impressive.
And yes, a Maryland state senator or delegate is planning to introduce a SB-1070-style law to the legisl00ture.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
They have proven time and again since the mid-1850s that it is their intention to destroy the country, even if it takes aligning themselves with our enemies to do so.
Great new bumper sticker:
“Just how many states is Obama willing to declare war on? Just how many Americans is he prepared to thumb his nose at? Just how many laws is he willing to refuse to enforce?”
All good questions!!
Hmmm, I’ve never seen that in N.Y., but I don’t live there, do you? Regardless, that is not what the AZ. law does. It’s not a “stop someone on the street and harass them” law, as the MSM would like you to believe.
When looking for the truth, though, look to what the law says, rather than what the MSM and this administration would like you to believe it says.
The AZ. law is about 10 pages in length and prohibits racial profiling.
And hopefully, it’s only one third of the states that will decide to take a stand for themselves! I’d like to see the other two thirds take the similar steps!!
These States are setting forth a good example for the rest of U.S. to follow, State by State!!
I love your personal story! It’s people like you who will bring the change that we need as a society.
You’re in good company here!! If you connect with conservative legislators in your state, and share this with them, they may work to make this a reality even in Alabama!
Don’t count yourself out. Grow your base!!
Lots of good thoughts, worth discussing!!
Gheen said the states where some form of immigration crackdown is under development include Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas and Utah.
Wow, State beginning with “A” (Arkansas) all the way thru “U” (Utah)!!
and that’s not even including the other states that O thinks he’s the President of! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrsBKGpwi58
“Everyone note what it says in the first paragraph. When referring to law enforcement officers in the State of California it says they Shall, not may do these things. Is it just me or does thing already say that California can do the same as Arizona?”
It is one thing for a state law to read as this; another for local PDs to actively follow it.
Costa Mesa has voted more than once, going back five years and again last week, to actively do pretty much what Arizona has been in the news for.
“Thats the way I read it. Problem is...who can we get to take this to heart and enforce? Democrats most assuredly will not. Republicans are too few (in the state legislature) to even bring it up. Can We The People do anything to push this? Any ideas out there?”
Ballot Initiative is a good idea but have you ever read what you have to go thru to get one on the ballot? Has to be turned in 131 days before election. Collecting over 400,000 signatures and all. It wouldn’t even happen any time soon. And, even if possible to get it all done, when it gets to the Attorney Generals desk, guess what? It can sit there for quite some time.
