TV Newser: The headline is from a tweet by New York Times media reporter Brian Stelter. He is referring to Kentucky Republican U.S. Senate candidate Rand Paul's decision to cancel his scheduled appearance on NBC's long-running Sunday morning public affairs show.
What happened? Host David Gregory looked at the week that was for Paul, and it was not pretty.
Apparently admin mod was concerned that I wasn’t joking!
The top link works.
You had the humor insignia there, right?
>> You had the humor insignia there, right?
Yeah, but maybe it changed to a *new* insignia or something... there’s always some bozo like me who doesn’t get the word.
LOL!
They’re just concerned about Paul’s extreme views. Like limited government.
Is that the only with Little Lukey Russert?
Why is it still called meet the press?
When Barney Frank is on they call it ‘Press the Meat!’
“They are scared.”
The most scary thing to an idealogical reporter is to be irrelevent.
I love to see the increasing irrelevance of the MSM. Paul will not suffer at all from canceling his appearance, which is the biggest and baddest insult he could have given them.
LOL!!
GE doesn’t approve of Rand Paul as the “establishment” candidate, so the NBC/MSNBC whores do what they are told and lie and distort. Meanwhile, no one outside their circle gives a crap what they think. They are irrelevant ...
They're peein' in their pants scared.
Do, or do not. There is no "try"...
;-)
Meet the Press isn’t that the show that everyone quit watching when Gregory took over who’s ratings are now in the toilet?
What the state-run media fails to understand is that every time they attack Paul, his stock goes up. I’ll send his campaign money now just because asshats like Gregory, Stephanopoulos, and Maddow are doing hit pieces on him. Too bad these clowns weren’t half as inquisitive about Obama’s background and positions prior to his election.
Obviously. But Rand Paul walked into a trap on the Maddow show in a situation where he could not win. He should have known nothing good was going to come out of it. Now he plays into their hands a second time by failing to show up to take the heat and missing a chance for more national TV minutes to explain his principles. Paul is beginning to look like a blind man navigating an obstacle course.
As much as they may wish, this is no “Macaca” moment. When Rand starts talking about limited government and states’ rights, most of the electorate have no idea what he’s talking about. He didn’t use the N-word or any available substitute, so they won’t make a connection to racism no matter how hard the press tries to zig-zag the dots.
If we stick with Paul, nothing has happened. Everyone that hated him before still hates him.
Personally, I admire anyone who cancels Meet the Press. Who watches those shows anymore?
Obama has also canceled his ‘meet the Press’..........and Rand just wants to follow in the great ones footsteps.
The days are gone when a NYT tweet does anything at all.
