""This video was shot by the local parish government in South Pass. When we [CBS] tried to reach the beach covered in oil, a boat with BP contractors with two Coast Guard officers on board told us to turn around under threat of arrest.

"This is BP's rules, not ours."

We spoke to Coast Guard officials today. They say that they are looking into it.""

Well I do have to say the media is well known for not getting out of the way when they should...the story is always their first concern....or making one happen by their intrusion... I give the BP and all credit here..

News people today aren’t looking for truth..rather how they can “develope” a long running story to keep selling the scoop.... often of their own making. Since most are in Bo’s pocket I don’t give much credit to them.

Scientists with good ideas for capping the well are being totally ignored. I wonder why?

Hey, if you gave over $2 million dollars to Obama’s 2008 campaign like they did, you’d expect him to stay bought, too!!

The money BP spent on Obama’s campaign was money well spent I see ...

I agree he’s in over his head. Although I vehemently disagree with his socialist political views, I think he’s basically well-intentioned and very intelligent. But he was a first-term Senator with no prior national-level political experience, and very little big-time mover-and-shaker experience of any sort — really not anywhere near ready to be President. 8-12 years later, he’d have been competent (though still a socialist), but now he is indeed flummoxed. It’s genuinely unfortunate that the nation’s first black President will leave such a shaky track record, but it is what it is.

We were due for a leftist President no matter what — just the mood of the country in late 2008. But it’s too bad we couldn’t have gotten a more experienced one. Though I’m glad we didn’t get Hillary — deep down she’s not a socialist anyway, just a Hillaryist, but she’s got oodles of high-level experience, most of which involves deliberate wrong-doing and lying, both of which she’s frightfully skilled at getting away with.

I guess I’m happier to have a well-meaning but in-way-over-his-head socialist in the White House, than an evil, conniving, highly effective pseudo-socialist. But this is a lousy time in global economic and political history to have the US head of state be someone who’s in way over his head.

Because anything that sullies, damages or punishes America is a ‘good thing’ to Zero. He’s enjoying seeing all the damage and he will profit from it by banning offshore drilling for US companies (while foreign companies will continue to drill our shores...if they pay Obama to play like BP did).

Obama is a control freak and wants to control every aspect of the USA.

Mary Landrieu: useless sell out pig.

Living it up on BP bribe money... oops, I meant “contributions.”

“I think he’s basically well-intentioned and very intelligent”

You are trying to make a joke...right?
If not, you are a moron, just as the idiots that voted for him.

Obambie has intelligent teleprompters and puppet masters, like George Soros.
He has a criminal mind, what there is of it.

Bingo. Nice analysis.

No, not joking. He is quite intelligent — enough to plot a successful course from nowhere to the Presidency in a breathtakingly short time frame. Don’t underestimate him.

And I haven’t seen any real evidence to suggest that he’s not well-intentioned. By definition, politicians who reach anywhere near the level he has, are people who have firmly resolved to find a way to get to the top, and not to worry about stepping on some hapless toes to get there. But if there had been any serious evidence of dark motives, it would have been dragged out and dissected under a brilliant spotlight by the Hillary Clinton machine.

Just because we disagree with someone’s leftist political views doesn’t mean they’re out to do evil. In my opinion, anyone who is working to advance socialism IS doing evil, but many (perhaps most) of them really believe it will lead to a better, fairer society. I actually think President Obama is smart enough that within a decade or so (maybe sooner, given the crash course he’s getting in reality), he’ll abandon that belief. But right now, he’s a barely middle-aged man who grew up in communities and universities that overwhelmingly espoused the notion that socialism equals justice, and being a talented black man, was especially encouraged in this belief by hordes of less-intelligent (and a few evil-minded) proponents who were his authority figures, and he still believes it to a significant degree.

I’ve seen photos of oil covered birds and heard reports of dead creatures on the MSM as well as public radio. Tonight they were showing the oil covered marsh reeds, which kills them.

“Scientists with good ideas for capping the well are being totally ignored. I wonder why?”

I’m very seriously wondering why there isn’t a line-up of ships with various ideas ready to be implemented one by one until something takes. I’m not a scientist but I can think of half a dozen kooky ideas to try. What’s the frikkin hold up?

He is not intelligent at all. I never heard him say one intelligent thing since he came on the scene. If he is so intelligent, why does he use teleprompters for even casual public comments? Why is it that when he doesn’t use teleprompters he can’t stop saying uh, uh, uh, uh? Why doesn’t he release any of his university transcripts? He is nothing more than a stooge who goes along with everything his handlers tell him to do.
