Had a sense it couldn't last
Watched the wonder wander past
Far Parade (2009)

Gotta wonder if he's waiting on the 25th anniversary to cut an album. Bootlegs of their new stuff are all over the place.

So then you’re admitting that drug laws really aren’t about public safety.

Cut out all the Freebies and the only folks you'd have coming here would be those who want to BE Americans.

Give us back our full RKBA and we'd have a lot more to say about things when "Let's roll" comes around.

Sorry, the way we are doing things isn't working. Period.

The reason it is going on is because drugs have been decriminalized.

Mexico decriminalized ALL drugs including opiates, LCD, and heroin. It’s cheaper to buy heroin or LSD than to buy a beer in and around the border.

Illegal aliens, crossing the border, recognizing the market for drugs and the lack of imprisonment for nearly any crime of a personal nature in some quantities, have nothing to risk by bringing some illegal drugs across the border on foot and selling it for cash the deeper into our country they migrate.

The solution to the problem isn’t from without but from within. From God’s perspective, man isn’t breaking the Law, rather the Law breaks man. If people want to avoid problems, all they have to do is respect legitimate authority and follow His guidance in what He provides. Just like myself, though, we all slip and get arrogant thinking we can get along on our own independent of Him, and we get bit. Some more so than others.

The WOP was a liberal trap to break down the tradional black family and enslave them in welfare dependent gubmint programs.

And what do you think the “War on Drugs” is? It’s not an actual war. You’re not going to get rid of demand. So someone is going to supply, organized criminal elements, at a high cost to society in general. The prohibition of alcohol had the same outcome. As for related crimes, we already have laws against robbery, burglary, etc.

Oh heck yes ... The "L"s had a office in nearby Beaverton ....

And their just like the "L"'s in California ... Shall we say uhhhh very large men, Caucasian, intelligent ... but couldn't get 'lucky' in a Arkansas trailer Park with a wallet full of hundred dollar bills and fifty pounds of blow?

That's why they want open borders ... they believe there is bound be some poor starving Third World wench who (after shutting her eyes and holding her nose) would give it up to one of them.

Hmmm.....I guess it depends on how you define "public". I hate innocents being harmed by druggies. Drug laws are about the safety of people NOT using drugs.

Yeah, their typical stage set looks like it contains at least an album, album-and-a-half of new or heavily reworked stuff -- that is, it would be, if Andrew ever deigned to get himself into a studio and record a proper studio version.

Oh, well. There's a few cuts of "Crash and Burn", and several others, on the web that sound almost studio quality, anyway.

But if there are no consequences for irrational or irresponsible behavior, there's really no such thing as irrational or irresponsible behavior.

“An Associated Press review of drug overdose data shows that so-called “black tar” heroin — named for its dark, gooey consistency — and other forms of the drug are contributing to a spike in overdose deaths across the nation and attracting a new generation of users who are caught off guard by its potency.”

This stuff has been around a long time.

One of the cornerstones of "Libertarianism" is open borders ......

The biggest name in Libertarianism today, Ron Paul, wants to build a massive concrete-and-barbed-wire fence along the entirety of the southern Border.

The second-biggest name in Libertarianism today, Rand Paul, not only wants a fence -- he wants to militarize the Border against Illegal Immigration, with regular military patrols and everything, just like a real National Border.

I guess that you might be stuck in some hazy, unformed 1970s-era conception of Libertarianism; but the most prominent names in Libertarianism today have come to the conclusion that American Property Rights outweigh Illegal Immigrants' Freedom of Movement (Trespassing!), and have taken policy positions accordingly.

So I don't really know what you're arguing about. The only libertarians who are actually getting elected to Congress, are staunchly Pro-Border Security.

If you did a little more investigating of the world around you, you might have noticed that. (Just a suggestion, that's all).

Yeah! Because kids always make good judgements based on what they see and hear and what we tell them.

And those that don’t?

Well, heroin just cleans out the gene pool, doesn’t it?

Like my gene pool. Buried in a Pennsylvania grave yard after 19 years of love and heartbreak.

They are dying because it is purer than what they are used to. Quality control means standardization. If standard legal heroine were always pure, users would cut it or use a smaller dose; if it were always cut to a certain strength they’d be used to that. The problem with lack of quality control, besides toxins in the whatever is used to cut the drugs, which is not the issue here, is random variation in strength. When it fluctuates up, as in this case, one gets the preponderance of overdose deaths.

“Another reason we do not do drugs.”
Don’t do it: You just don’t know what they put in

Years ago I busted my youngest for smoking pot. He said if I could smoke cigars, he could smoke pot. I got the box of cigars out and told him that if I keeled over from a bad cigar, mom could find the maker's name on the box and sue everybody in sight - could he do the same with the stuff he smoked? No answer. That was in the days when the dealers were lacing the pot with PCP. That was some REALLY bad stuff.

I’m sure you’re familiar with the scene in the Bible where Jesus instructs the seventy to eventually shake the dust from their sandals and move on ... some people love their drugs more than even life itself, and certainly more than the lives and security of their families. Their families would be better off without them; they are the dust to be shaken off of the sandals.

Uhhhh not really. Use the Goggle Force and one will see that 'restricting immigration' is a recent innovation for Libertarians.....

While I would vote for a Libertarian/Populist over a Democrat/Traitor any day, they do need to repudiate their past support for open borders.

And as we see, when they do, they win elections. And frankly, the Paul's are more Populists rather than classic Libertarians. (Not that there is anything wrong with that)

So fellers, hitch up them sixty inch waist pants of your'in, and put the word out ..... "We have seen the Light!!"

So, you're only real objection to "Libertarians" are the ones who sit around their basement playing D&D and supporting Open Borders in theory, while never actually doing anything about it; whereas you're willing to admit that the Libertarians who actually get off their duff and get Elected, DO tend to be staunchly Pro-Border Security.

Well, you might acknowledge that, just for the sake of intellectual honesty.

And their whole business about who gonna pay for .gov is a bit goofy too.
