I agree with you 100% — don’t get it either.

I’ve debated a few FReepers here about...Sarah Palin meddling in our primary. They seemed to buy in somehow that Fiorina would be the strongest candidate against Boxer.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Fiorina is the weakest of the 3 in a head to head against Boxer. Why don’t Republicans ever get it, that being a job killing corporate CEO is NOT an asset in any election, especially one in the height of a deep recession and record unemployment.

Fiorina is exactly the kind of candidate Boxer wants to run against. Fiorina’s background is the one lifeline Boxer has to change the subject to one that is favorable to Boxer. Fiorina’s job killing tenure at HP is just the distraction Boxer needs to keep her own job.

True, thanks for the reasoned post.

Revel:

As everyone should have found out with Scott Brown. Supporting a Rhino is no different than supporting a democrat. Conservatives should refuse to vote for a Rhino no matter what. Stand on principles. It might not change anything this time, but hopefully there is a next time.
No more lesser evil should be voted for.

Some say if voters don't vote for the leftist "R" it is the fault of the voter.

Not so, it's all on the backs of the GOP.

If they won't support Conservatives, they WILL not get my vote.

They have been pushing this lesser of two evils on us for too long.

If we keep voting for the GOP weak choices, they will keep foisting them upon us.

Bruce Hershchensohn should have been our Senator. The last minute smear attacks on him that the Boxer Campaign pulled was despicable, but that is their strategy.

I used to say Barbara Boxer was as dumb as a box of rocks. Now I use a more accurate comment. Barbara Boxer is as dumb as a box of, well, Barbara Boxers.

So you support the candidate who is leading in the polls because they are leading in the polls?
That sounds like politics as usual, manufactured consensus.

Tell me, once the primary is over, how will Fiorina answer Boxer when the airwaves are blanketed with ads from Boxer saying “While Carly Fiorina was busy sending California jobs overseas, I was fighting to extend unemployment benefits for California”?

You think this won’t work in California with devastating effectiveness?
It is already over for Fiorina before it ever begins.
Here comes another term for Boxer.

When she goes all Scott Brown on us, and votes to outsource jobs overseas like she did at HP, don’t look at me for the “I told you so’s”.

If she votes to cut taxes, reduce unionism and stimulate the economy, we won't have to worry so much about outsourcing jobs.

Good letter. My friends who once worked at HP agree completely with Arianna Packard. They despise Carly.

As long as they love Boxer they will be just fine.

Sarah wants the best conservative with an actual chance to win. William F. Buckley invented that concept. He'd be proud of her.

Didn't know that, but I think that's precisely what prompted Sarah to endorse Fiorina over staunch conservative DeVore who was sadly trailing and is still trailing.

Sarah is trying her best to build conservative Republican majorities in Congress and governorships throughout our country and she makes no apologies for her endorsements. That's leadership!

So you support the candidate who is leading in the polls because they are leading in the polls?

Going by your way, you end up with the far left GOP candidate Campbell. That has to be avoided at all costs.

Tell me, once the primary is over, how will Fiorina answer Boxer when the airwaves are blanketed with ads from Boxer saying “While Carly Fiorina was busy sending California jobs overseas, I was fighting to extend unemployment benefits for California”?”

If you can't find anything on Boxer to answer such an ad, you have not been looking hard enough. Boxer has made so many terrible votes in the congress, said so many stupid things over the years, done so many crazy things, that I am sure Fiorina has plenty of nasty video ads ready to be unleashed on Boxer, if she gets the nomination. Boxer is so far left extremist, its going to be hard to narrow to which attack ads against her down, because there are so many of them.

Exactly what I have been telling an out-of-state-er who is pushing for Fiorina with heavy spam posts.

Fiorina in the General will usher Boxer back in.

DeVore is the only one that can beat Boxer.

California has a lot of conservatives that are inspired by the (destructive practices of the democrats and this administration and) tea party movement to get out and vote big time in this election.

I would rather not have a senator than to have Boxer. Out of thirty million people in this state, Boxer has got to be one of the worst.

Let's not trash any of the Republican candidates in the primary because then that negativity follows them into the general. Let's concentrate on what is good about each one.

Whoever wins the primary, let's all support them whole heartedly in the general.

I think what really did Bruce in was the “strip club scandal” that Democrat dirty trick artist Bob Mulholland pulled four days before the election.

Bruce’s (left-wing) pal Ken Minyard invited Bruce and his girlfriend to dinner and took them to some dive near the radio station where they worked. The Seventh Veil nude-dance club in Hollywood. Mulholland got wind of it and with his comrades in the press turned it into a scandal. Boxer beat Hershchensohn by 5 points.

Bruce denied that Minyard would have set him up, but I think Bruce underestimates what a POS Minyard is.
