Cell, Email Records Could Solve “Haley-gate” (Blogger says he has texts, voice messages and emails)
FITS News ^ | May 24, 2010 | Staff

Phone records, text messages, emails, voice mails … these are the identifying markers of any love affair, and ground zero when it comes to any “he said, she said” battle in civil or criminal court.

Well … we’ve got the ultimate “he said, she said” battle on our hands in South Carolina, where bad boy blogger Will Folks (our founding editor) has been called to the carpet following his forced admission of a vexingly vague “inappropriate physical relationship” with S.C. Rep. Nikki Haley, the front-runner for the GOP gubernatorial nomination.

Now all we need is a courtroom.

Not only has Haley denied Folks’ claim (which he says was made under duress), she’s gone on the radio and basically accused him of taking money to attack her (ouch). Of course, in another bizarre rumor making the rounds, some are speculating that Folks and Haley actually ginned the whole thing up together in an effort to get ahead of the story.

No kidding! (That’s actually the spin coming out of the S.C. State House).

Still other rumors claim that our website has simply decided to – in Sarah Palin’s words – “make things up” in an effort to punk the mainstream media, which we have to admit sounds like it would be a lot of fun.

Obviously, though, this wasn’t the way that this story was supposed to unfold. We’ve been longtime Haley backers here at FITS, and we thought that our years of consistent advocacy on her behalf (and on behalf of the fiscally conservative ideals she represents) might count for something as this unfortunate tale unfolded.

It clearly didn’t.

Why do they need a court? Haven’t they got the media who would pay dearly for this stuff?

Excellent point. Also, Hailey has categorically denied the allegation and stated that she has been 100% faithful to her husband throughout their marriage. That’s good enough for me, besides it’s not like Democrats are concerned about being unfaithful any way.

Any update from the National Enquirer’s story on Obama’s infidelities.....that story sank faster than a BP oil rig. But look at the dem-left ride this particular story.

Eaxactly! If he does have this then he needs to show the evidence. I can say all day that I have something but proving that I have what I say I do is another thing entirely! Just imagine what one could make up if it were that easy!

I don’t think this b.s. story is even worthy of our consideration.

This story is so trashy. Sheer gossip. I read all of today’s and all of yesterday’s articles and they really say NOTHING. It’s all innuendo and they are using a strong dose of innuendo to try to keep a strong, smart, lady out of the governor’s house and push her back in the kitchen.

What is an inappropriate relationship? And how do cell phone records prove that between 2 people who work together on a regular basis? In the heat of a campaign hundreds of phone calls fly back and forth between co-workers. So? What does that prove?

The good ol’ boys in SC politics better just get back to chewing their tobaccy as they sit around the cracker barrel gossiping in back of the gas station.

They don’t like this lady because she wants transparency in a state house where nobody goes on the record about anything. She’s right, and they’re wrong.

Josh, and everyone here:

I, anonymous blogger TitansAFC, would like to take this time to admit that several years ago, prior to my marriage, I had an inappropriate physical relationship with Lindsey Graham.

I will not be discussing the details of that relationship, nor will I be granting any additional interviews about it to members of the media beyond what I have already been compelled to confirm.

I am told that at least one story based upon this information will be published this week. Watching all of this unfold, I have become convinced that the gradual release of this information is deliberately designed to advance this story in the press while simultaneously forcing either evasive answers or denials on my part or on Lindsey’s part.

That's it.

From the Times:

———”Without Will “admitting” to the “affair” there would be no story… so why is he admitting it?

The source tells Free Times that on June 26, 2009, Folks called him, near tears, admitting that he’d had an affair with Haley and urging him not to tell members of the media about it.”———
“””””

WTF? Oh shut up… I have a hard time believing Will was crying(he would be braggin)... or this guy would remember the exact date...

———”Furthermore, the source — who is not affiliated with any South Carolina gubernatorial campaign — says former Haley staffer B.J. Boling told him Haley had confided in him about the affair around the time Boling was working on her House reelection campaign in 2008.

Boling, who is working on the GOP gubernatorial campaign of U.S. Rep. Gresham Barrett, said he didn’t want to comment about the allegations to Free Times.”-———

So this “source” who listened to crying Will also talked to former Haley staffer who apparently got Haley to tell him she was having an affair with Will… oh, and this former staffer now works for an apposing campaign… oh, come on...

Questions on this:

What motivation does this guy have for making this up? Driving traffic to his site and whatever small amount of money he might receive from some antagonistic party could not possibly make up for the 100% loss of credibility if he is proved to have been lying. It doesn’t make sense for him to push this if he’s not telling the truth.

On the other hand.....

Why would Haley categorically deny the story if she knew it to be true? Surely, if the allegations are true, then she has to know that he has in his possession the emails and texts and perhaps other items....ready for disposal to the press. If it were true, I wouldn’t think she’s deny it this strongly.....she’d simply have “no comment”.

What’s the deal here? This is strange....
