Will Obama Stand Up for U.S. and Our Allies?
Real Clear Politics ^ | May 25, 2010 | Ed Koch

Posted on 05/25/2010 11:45:30 AM PDT by rightwingintelligentsia

We are at war with radical Islam, and that war will go on for many years.

For me, the question is this: will the secular Western civilization shared by America and Europe, which allows us to enjoy life and its creature comforts, still be standing at the end of that war? Or will radical Islam, with an aggressive culture that treasures martyrdom and death over life, prevail?

The vast majority of Muslims, of course, are peace-loving. The fanaticism found among the Wahhabists of Saudi Arabia is not found in many of the countries where a billion, 400 million Muslims live. Nevertheless, we know that radical Islamists want to convert us to their faith, either voluntarily or, if necessary, by force.

--snip--

Speak softly and carry a big stick, Teddy Roosevelt said. President Obama speaks apologetically and carries no stick at all. No wonder North Korea torpedoed that South Korean warship, something they would not have done in all probability if China had not quietly approved. No wonder Brazil and Turkey thumb their noses at us. We have become a laughingstock.

Unfortunately, given Koch’s fellatio of Obama during the campaign, whatever he says now is completely irrelevant.

He can slam Obama all he wants, but Koch, among so many others, put him in the White House.

And now he whines. STFU, Eddie.

Silly question.

Of course not.

Koch is right about Obama and wrong about Islam. Why, as he says would the reader believe that of course most Muslims are peace loving? Islam is a fusion of religion and a political system of conquest and subjugation of non believers. Muslims that are not active terrorists are largely quiet supporters of their assertion of the supremacy of Islam. If the
west does not quarantine Islamists, the infection will kill pluralism, multiculturalism and democracy, after Islam uses those channels to fatally infect its host.

I don’t fear the US becoming Islamic because it is totally outside of our nature. As long as there is a strong liberal party, moral relativism, our love of individualism and personal freedom, our unquenchable thirst for drugs, sex, alcohol, base desires, the second amendment and same-sex marriage, Islam will never get more than a toehold in our culture. The American people just won’t put up with anyone telling what they can or cannot do, believe or feel. I believe these are Americas greatest weapons against any sort of totalitarian regime taking over.

Luckily, history has shown that the majority of people never really follow their religions the way it is demanded of them.

"Or will radical Islam, with an aggressive culture that treasures martyrdom and death over life, prevail? The vast majority of Muslims, of course, are peace-loving."

If you really believe this then what is there to worry about? And if you don't really believe it why say it? The repitition of a lie doesn't make it true. The historical truth is that islam is anything but peaceful. Islam isn't a 'people', it's a religion, a culture and a system of government that devours people. And as such it is inherently evil; it will destroy the peace and prosperity of all those who place their faith in it, and it will conquer all those who are too blind see the danger in it, or too weak to defend against it. What muslim majority nations have hope, freedom and prosperity? Syria? Iran? Saudi Arabia? Afghanistan? Egypt? Nigeria? Indonesia? Kenya? Somalia? Iraq? Kosovo?

And where is there a sense of peace and joy amongst muslim minorities in democratic nations? The Philippines? France? England? Australia? America? Why be self deceived? Islam is an abomination and a danger to all free people, especially to all those who suffer under its barbaric "laws". It is the embodiment of evil.

A common occurance in the 'predomently peaceful' islam.

As long as he continues to believe this, the more probable the chance we will lose this war. Islam delenda est.

Will Obama Stand Up for U.S. and Our Allies?

Obama himself has already given a resounding NO in answer to that question!
