Look Who's Behind the White House/Sestak Stonewall (RAT candidate Andrew Romanoff also bribed?)

Look Who's Behind the White House/Sestak Stonewall
Michelle Malkin – Wed May 26, 3:00 am ET
Creators Syndicate

After three months of zipped lips and feigned ignorance, the Obama White House is finally taking real heat over Pennsylvania Democratic Rep. Joe Sestak's consistent claims that the administration offered him a job to drop his Senate bid. Now it's time to redirect the spotlight where it belongs: on the top counsel behind the Washington stonewall, Bob "The Silencer" Bauer.

On Sunday, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs glibly asserted that "lawyers in the White House and others have looked into conversations that were had with Congressman Sestak. And nothing inappropriate happened." With whom were these conversations had? Gibbs won't say. Neither will Attorney General Eric Holder, who dismissed "hypotheticals" when questioned about Sestak's allegations last week on Capitol Hill by GOP Rep. Darrell Issa of California. Holder is simply taking his cue from the commander-in-chief's personal lawyer and Democratic Party legal boss.

You see, on March 10, Issa also sent a letter to Bauer, the White House counsel to the president, requesting specifics: Did White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel contact Sestak? Did White House Deputy Chief of Staff Jim Messina (whom another Democrat, U.S. Senate candidate Andrew Romanoff, has accused of offering a cabinet position in exchange for his withdrawal)? How about the White House Office of Political Affairs? Any other individuals? What position(s) was/were offered in exchange for Sestak's withdrawal? And what, if any, steps did Bauer take to investigate possible criminal activity?

Bauer's answers? Zip. Nada. Zilch. While the veteran attorney ducked under a table with the president, Gibbs stalled publicly as long as he could —

“More significantly, Bauer has served as Obama’s personal attorney, navigating the corrupted waters of former Democratic Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s pay-for-play scandals in Illinois. Bauer accompanied Obama to an interview with federal investigators in Chicago. And he’s got his hands full fighting Blago’s motion to subpoena Obama in the Senate-seat-for-sale trial — a subpoena that included references to a secret phone call between Obama and Blagojevich; an allegation that Emanuel floated his own suggested replacement for Obama’s seat; an allegation that Obama told a “certain labor union official” that he would support (now-White House senior adviser) Valerie Jarrett to fill his old seat; and a bombshell allegation that Obama might have lied about conversations with convicted briber and fraudster Tony Rezko.”

Get the popcorn ready: Blago’s trial starts next month!

Chicago Politics as USUAL...

FUHRER OBAMA is making Nixon’s Watergate look like a CHURCH PICNIC compared to Chicago’s Business as Usual.

Kniow this about Bauer:

Before Obama recently appointed him to White House counsel, Bauer was the lead Perkins Coi atty that has shut down/manipulated all the many legal inquiries into the release of Obama’s academic, personal and professional records..to the tune of 2 million dollars plus.

In the most aggressive case, Bauer theatened Attorney Gary Kreep with a big bucks lawsuit if Kreep continued to ask for release of Obama’s Occidental College transcripts-Bauer demanded Occidental slam the door shut on records release in the nick of time—Occidental was on the verge of making it public on Kreep’s request.

The cherry on top of the sundae: Bauer is married to former WH communications director ( “Mao is my favorite philosopher” ) Anita Dunn.

Ain’t this cozy?

Nixon’s problems started this exact same way... drip... drip... drip... GAME OVER.

I've posted in other threads the fact that Nixon did not resign the day after the guys were caught busting into the Watergate complex -- months of investigation, both by the press and the Senate led to the chance-question from then Counsel Thompson to get the information from Butterfield that there was a taping system in the Oval Office.

This one is not going away simply because Axelrod says the White House lawyers looked into it (confirming that indeed some kind of conversation(s) between Sestak and the WH took place) and says there was nothing "inappropriate". The White House cannot absolve itself, Sestak has not retracted his claim, there will be continuing questioning to both sides, since he is still campaigning for the Senate seat.

I agree with you, LLS, drip ... drip ... drip -- who knows what will be uncovered before this is over.

Before today, I didn’t know anything about another possible bribe.

What do they say about a pattern, isn't this how so many are convicted on circumstantial evidence?

It's the same kind of thing with the "I didn't know him" baloney before 0bama won the Oval Office, Ayres just a guy in the neighborhood, 0bama sat in Wright's church for twenty years but never heard anything, no idea the deep beliefs of commie radical Van Jones, no matter Jarrett says they had been "watching him for years", etc., etc., etc.

We have the whole Blago ordeal, but 0bama innocent. Romanoff, but 0bama ignorant. Now Sestak, the very same kind of thing being claimed, but ho, of course, 0bama *Sgt. Shutlz* here, he knows nothing, nothing!!

It's past time for Sestak to be made to name names, just whom did he meet with when, what were the specific words of the conversation(s)? Do the WH logs verify the time(s) of them occurring? THAT person needs to then be questioned as to why he made Sestak the offer, at whose direction?? And so on up the line.

With not one, not two, but three Democrats (Sestak, Romanoff and Blagojevich) all implicating the agent of Hope and Change in dirty backroom schemes, "Trust Us" ain't gonna cut it. Neither will "Shut Up and Go Away."

What did Bob "The Silencer" Bauer know, when did he know it, and how long does the Most Transparent Administration Ever plan to play dodgeball with the public?

There is so much corruption with O's associates, he is one of them. Now it is all about the cover up.

“throwing himself into LAKE MICHIGAN.”

Yes, I believe even these thugs recognize that yet another “suicide” in Ft. Marcy Park might arouse needless suspicions. The only thing that might do in their plans would be if Rahm yielded to the temptation to carve his initials into Blago’s cement boots (although even then, the WH likely would “investigate” and find “no evidence” of foul play).

Yep. It would be political suicide to say, now that he has the nomination... "oops, my bad...maybe Obama really wasn't trying to bribe me to get out of the race. Let's just forget it." So if he does try to walk it back, I'd take it to be a signal that his political survival is secondary to survival, period.

It is Romanoff (D) from Colorado (ex-Speaker of the House, running against Bennett (D) for the Senate.
Obama likes Bennett, Romanoff has the grass roots support
(heavily).

Before he knew being offered a federal job in exchange for a political favor was a legal violation, he said publicly that he had been offered a job to bow out of the Senate race against Obama’s buddy Senator Bennett.
