So no wiretapping charges? No felonies? Sad day for those wanting to see the end of James O'Keefe.

Some pretty minor stuff considering the fact that the leftards wanted them put in a federal prison for several consecutive life sentences.

BTW I see that Bertha Lewis got herself arrested yesterday.

This does not absolve Acorn of wanting to help set up brothels.

The significant part is the probation. That puts them under the hammer if they get into even minor trouble next time.

What are the conditions of the probation? Will this shut O’Keefe down?

Just what I figured would happen...

Fine

probation

community service.

Hmmmm......I wonder if recording ACORN felonies could be construed as “ community service” ?

He did some great things with ACORN thugs, but this was wrong. I don’t think he deserved prison, but he now has a criminal record for being stupid.

Will this shut O'Keefe down?

It means no more illegal (even slightly illegal) tactics for the next three years or he goes to jail. If he wises up a bit, that won't be a problem; if not, it will.

“He did some great things with ACORN thugs, but this was wrong. I don’t think he deserved prison, but he now has a criminal record for being stupid.”

Rather, he suffered the wrath of the left, who ever heard of “entering a federal building under false pretenses”? Every democrat politician does that daily. The criminal record is a badge of honor to a great American, so what the heck are you talking about?

Exactly. They swore an oath to defend the Constitution and they work every day in federal buildings to destroy the Constitution. Didn't Timothy Geithner cheat on his taxes in a federal building?

Brilliant comment! If OKeefe had done the same thing trying to nail a conservative politician he'd have been awarded a Pulitzer and be a featured speaker at the National Press Club.

“entering a federal building under false pretenses”?

I’ll have to say that charge sounds like a steaming pile of...

So he’s a criminal and Barney Frank is pillar of ethics?

“entering real property belonging to the United States under false pretenses.”

The president and 95% of the Congress are guilty of this too.

Investigative journalists do this all the time and sometimes even at the offices of republican lawmakers. The only difference here is that left wingers are never prosecuted.

Doesn’t CBS do this every day of the week in a Republican administration? Can we get a prosecutor in 2013 who remembers these precedents that the left has set for us?
