PESHAWAR: Maulana Fazlullah, the chief of the Pakistani Taliban in the restive Swat valley, has apparently been killed along with 6 other militants in a clash with Afghan border forces in that country's Nuristan province, intelligence sources said on Thursday.
Fazlullah, who was known as 'Mullah FM' for his fiery sermons broadcast on an illegal radio station, apparently died during Wednesday's clash with Afghan border forces, the sources said.
Clashes between Taliban militants, including those based in Pakistani, and Afghan forces had erupted in Nuristan province three days ago, the sources said.
Fazlullah and his militants had established a parallel administration that controlled most parts of Swat, a district located just 160 km from Islamabad.

Taliban leader is a short term position these days. Next!
Apparently the will of allah.
Good news: a key Taliban was offed. Bad news: a line is forming for the next “leader.”
Swat has been occupied by Pak troops for over a year and this will really quiet things down there. ...Swat Team?
You have been Talibanned. Next!
Pour more pig fat on his grave!
What we need to do is kill the ones lined up, and THEN go after the leader.
Very good, assuming we know who they are.
I’m pretty sure they are running out of virgins.
All they have left are raisins and camels with mascara.
Isn’t this the 3rd or 4th time he’s died?
This is the third time he died. Gotta say he’s tough, the second time he died, he also survived the autopsy.
